You can catch Shorty Mack on Moesha as a character named Nice. On the show he plays Dorian's (Ray J) best friend. He also plays a member of the group "WHAT" on the "Mayhem at the Jam" episode. Oh, and you can always catch him flirtin' with the ladies on the show. Not too much unlike the real Shorty Mack huh?!

Shorty is on a number of videos as well. Catch a glimpse of him in Ray J's "Wait A Minute", "Formal Invite", and "Keep Your Head Up." He is also in Brandy's "What About Us?"

Shorty Mack is poppin' his collar for the camera in "Wait A Minute". You can't miss him in "Formal Invite" as Ray-Jiggy brings him into the spotlight with his line about the "suite and the Rio" with his "n*gga D.O.". (That's D.O./Derelle Owens for those of you that didn't know.) Shorty is walking with Ray and others in "Keep Your Head Up" as Ray J tells us all to just believe and keep our heads up to the sky. Shorty is also alongside Ray-Jiggy in Brandy's "What About Us?"...umm...just don't blink. :o)

And I know all you Ray-Jiggsta fans are familiar with Shorty Mack on Out Tha Ghetto , and the KO Formal Invite Remix. He is featured on a collaboration (yet to be released) with The Gladiators. Check him out in songs like "Complex" and "Not From Your World". You can't deny the skillz.

Shorty Mack has an album to be released very soon.(More info coming ASAP) Don't be surprised if he and the KNOCKOUT fam roll through your town in 2003. Be on the lookout yall!

Shorty has (occasionally) been on the MessageBoard at ray-j.com (BOSSMAN) representin' for KO and spreadin love for all the ladies that come through. And yes its really him.

For those of you that don't know, Shorty Mack has a self-titled album which was released in 1996. At the time he was on a label called Vertex. He was still known as Shorty Mac...but the name had no "K" on the end. The exact release date of the album was February 27. The track "Hard To Tame Me" was the only single from the album. The single was released on March 19, 1996. Check below for a tracklisting and album cover. (Links to track listening coming soon.) Here is a link to more info on his debut. SHORTY MAC There is a messageboard at the link you can post on...or just hit up the Ray J's World Board. Shorty Mack topics are always welcome.

Here is a short review of the album from AMG:
At 14 years of age, Shorty Mac sure has been around the block a couple times. Throughout his self-titled debut, he spins tales of crime and violence with a world-weary eye well beyond his years. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean he comes up with new insights. Shorty Mac spits out the same gangsta cliches, but since he's only a child, that is excusable. Every now and then he has a couple of rhymes that suggest he might eventually evolve into something original and distinctive. For now, he's strictly pedestrian. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

Though the review is not great it does state some things which have definitely come to be true. Shorty's rhymes have evolved. His style from 1996 to the present Shorty we know and love is very different. Shorty definitely has talent and has developed lyrically. His sound is more distinctive and the lyrics he writes are original. He will surely be around for a while, knockin' 'em out...so be on the look out!

Shorty Mack has appeared (been mentioned) as "Nice" on the following episodes of MOesha.

Mayhem at the Jam (2001)- On this episode, Shorty
displays some of his skills as a member of the
group "What". The group takes the stage for a little
exposure when the group "Mayhem" is late for Mo's big
campus concert.

Scary Marriage (2001)- The group "What" needs to record
so Dorian gets a few studio hours at his old job...
without the owners consent. This leaves the group in
debt.

On the Rebound (2000)-Since Dorian is back from bootcamp,
Nice wants D-Money to help him "beat down" a
guy that steals his bike. Though Dorian refuses at
first(trying to regain Frank's trust) he eventually
leaves out to help his friend.

Color Him Father (2000)-This episode is all
about D-Money's birthday party. Of course Nice
attends and you can catch him out on the dance floor.

He Doth Protest Too Much (2000)- Summary coming
soon. More Mo!
A Den is a Terrible Thing to Waste (1999)-
Summary coming soon. More Mo.
Just Above My Head (1999)- Summary coming soon.
More Mo.
Mis-Directed Study (1999) -Summary Coming Soon.
More Mo.

Shorty Mack's verse in the Formal Invite KO Remix

He's only part time
But me, I'm all year out
So we gone celebrate the fact
He on his way out
I be out, where the best broads stay
Wit no t-shirt, poppin sh*t with Ray
Uh oh, You in trouble
So don't stumble
You in the bed wit a lion

And we bout to rumble
All in the jungle
But you ain't makin it out
Mistakin my clout,
Will get ya insides blown out
I bet you want a n*igga wit dough love
But on that money hungry talk
Yo you gets no love
Hold up
I grew outta my bald fade
Dropped my old ways
But I kept pimpin the same babes,
All shades
This is the formal invite
To get nasty tonight
Cut off all the lights
I want all the rights, baby
To touch you where you ain't been touched
Cause girl I really love you much
Now get at me

"Smashin' wit the Knockout, lady life would be easy- believe me..." ~~Shorty Mack in "Out the Ghetto"
