Author's Note: *grin* I've just realized that this was the first time I've ever written a plot this way. Enjoy!
Sam looked down at the young woman that shared his bed. Her blonde hair was splayed out on her pillow, like a halo, and her creamy skin glowed in the early dawn light. Long lashes brushed her cheeks, and her face was in repose.
He inhaled sharply, her scent filling his nose. She always smelled like roses to him, like a simple bouquet of freshly cut flowers. Tabitha shifted slightly under the covers, her small foot brushing his leg.
It was these moments that he treasured, these moments alone with her. Alone, watching her sleep, her scent tickling his nose. He reached down to stroke her cheek with his knuckle, loving the silky touch of her skin.
Tabitha stirred once again, snuggling closer to him. He rearranged his body so that she could once more find the warm niche of his arms that she always fell asleep in.
Her head rested on the pillow, her face turned towards him, like a sunflower looking toward the sun. Sam reached out and grasped a handful of her short soft hair, letting it flow through his fingers like water. It's bright blonde brilliance glint in the morning light.
He watched it with fascinated awe, bending his nose down to allow the smell of her hair to invade his senses. He pulled his fingers from her hair, and allowed his hand to run down the side of her neck, to her shoulders and down her arm. He slid his palm next to hers, and gently entwined her fingers with his.
He lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed the back of it softly, savoring the feel of her skin on his mouth. His eyes were drawn back to her face, in time to see her lips quirking up into the smile he so loved. She was awake.
Softly, he descended on her mouth, catching it in a warm kiss. He felt her lips press tighter to his, as it deepened. After several more soul searing seconds, Sam broke the kiss; his eyes still locked onto her mouth. He pulled all her beauty into him, locked it away, to pull out and look at later, like dried flowers.
"Ah love you…" He breathed, dropping feather like kisses across her jawbone.
Her lashes fluttered open, revealing depthless blue eyes. Sam lost himself in the oceans that stared back at him, drowning in desire.
She shattered his composure, driving him past the edge of lust. He needed her, as surely as he needed the air he breathed, or the food he ate. She was a sweet addiction, a mind-blowing drug. He longed for her when they were apart, and when they were near each other, he longed to touch her, and when he touched her, he longed to be part of her.
"I love you, too." Four simple words, breathed in a sleepy voice, could blow his world out of the water, make the blood run hotter then the sun deep inside of him.
He reached out to run his hand across her body, past the sheet that hid her nakedness. His fingers curled around and caressed every inch of her that he could reach, and when he could reach no more, he lifted himself up so that Tabitha was under him. Her eyes stared at him, the sleep in the burning away by something else, a hunger to match the one he felt deep inside for you.
His lips found hers as their tongues danced the lover's dance, and he moved within her. Slowly, he began the exquisite process of their lovemaking, joining with her in a way that he could only once imagine.
When the heat in their blood cooled, they were left in silence once more, her small body pressed against his much larger one. Sam held her in his arms, her hair twirling about his fingers, her rose scent infusing his blood, heating it once more. Soon he would long to join his body to hers again.
He felt the whisper against his chest, but the words were lost to his ears. He pushed himself up on an elbow, turning her toward him.
"What was that, angel? Ah didn't hear you." Sam asked in a whisper, not wanting to break the mood of the moment anymore then he had to. He leaned forward, and began to kiss her neck softly, her pulse pounding beneath his lips.
"Sam…" His blue eyed angel whispered pulling back from his mouth. Her eyes shone like diamonds in the early sunlight. "I said…I'm pregnant."
"Pregnant?" Sam whispered, joy racing through him faster then adrenaline. "We're…we're going to have a baby?"
"Yes…" Tabitha sighed, her eyes glowing with the same light they had for six months now. Since the day that they had become husband and wife.
