Tabitha & Sam is Marvel's, Sami is mine. This is set during The Christmas Wish timeline but is before the action in A Christmas wish picks up.

Blossoms

The soft spring air blew all around, carrying the scent of violets. The wind blew through Samantha Smith's long red hair, billowing it out around her. The little girl smiled and tilted her head back, closing her eyes.

The trees tossed and turned in the soft breeze sending a shower of blossoms onto the little girl. She giggled in delight and reached up her baby hands to grasp at them, clutching them in her eighteen-month-old fists. Some of the white blossoms landed on the little girl's auburn hair, making the pretty child look like some cherub from ancient myth.

Sami's young mother sat a few feet away on a blanket. Tabitha smiled softly at her little girl's utter joy of the blossoms and then stood up. She walked over to where the toddler was contently playing and bent down to scoop her up.

"Are you havin' fun baby? There pretty aren't they?" Tabitha cooed at her little girl.

"Pitty, Momma! Pitty!" Sami cried in her infant voice, waving her hands about.

Tabitha smiled brightly, swinging her daughter around and around. Sami laughed and squealed, waving her little hands in pure joy.

For a second, time seemed to stand still for this little family of two. Sami's auburn hair spun out from her, the blossoms falling out and littering the ground were they stood.

Sami laughed again, and hugged her mother tightly around the neck. Tabitha hugged her back, inhaling the sweet perfume the flowers and Sami's natural scent had created.

A sudden memory swept across her mind, and Tabitha closed her eyes, willing the tears away.

((Tabitha stood in the field around the Guthrie family farm. The wind blew off the Appalachian Mountains, carrying with it the sweet smell of violets. The small blond smiled, and tipped her head into the wind, inhaling the smell.

Suddenly a pair of strong arms wrapped around her from behind and swung her around and around. She laughed and cried out for him to put her down. He put her on the ground after a few more swings and then kissed the back of her head. She turned around to face him, and wrapped her arms as tightly as she could around his neck. For a moment time stood still as they kissed each other, the wind carrying the scent of violets around them.

After a moment, he pulled back and looked at her with his clear blue eyes, shining with love. Tabitha smiled and tilted her head back to kiss him again.

"Ah love you girl."))

"I love you mommy." Sami giggled, looking at Tabitha with Sam's clear blue eyes.
