Funeral services for Michael Wayne age 28, of 427 Gamaliel
Road, Red Boiling Springs, TN., were conducted at 2 pm Saturday,
November 6, 1999 from the Phillip Anderson and Son Funeral Home
Chapel in Red Boiling Springs with Pastor Bruce Kirby
officiating. Pallbearers were Wayne York, James Lyons, DeWayne
White, Jimmy York, Ray Long, and Jeff Roark. Interment was in the
Willette Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Red Boiling
Springs.
Michael Wayne Key passed away Thursday, November 4, 1999 from
injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Sumner County,
Tennessee.
A native of Monroe County, Kentucky, he was the son of Freddie
Wayne Key and Judy Ann York Key, both of Red Boiling Springs, who
survive. He was married to Tracy Skulley on October 3, 1998, who
survives. He was employed at Fleet Design of Portland, TN, as a
machine operator.
Survivors, besides his parents and wife, include two
daughters: Casey and Courtney Key, Lafayette, TN., two
step-daughters: Casie Skulley and Crissy Frazier, Red Boiling
Springs, TN.

age 71, of LaFayette, TN, died Thursday, July
29, 1999 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born
Tuesday, January 17, 1928, in Jefferson County, KY, a son of the
late Cornelius Kempf and Henrietta Shauf Kempf, and was a retired
buyer for LaFayette Manufacturing Company. He was an army veteran
of World War II, and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Survivors include, his wife, Carol Merder
Kempf, of LaFayette, TN; two daughters and sons-in-law; Diane and
Mike Beyke, Jasper, IN; Donna and Tony Kirby, Lafayette, TN;
three sons and a daughter-in-law: Doug Kempf and Danny Kempf,
both of Nashville, TN; and David and Alecia Kempf, LaFayette, TN;
three sisters, Evelyn Conter, Vandalia, OH; Nancy Herzog, Jasper,
IN; and Janie Altman, Evansville, IN; four brothers, Earl Kempf,
Evansville, IN; Dennis Kempf, Tipp City, OH; Harold Kempf,
Schnellville, IN; and Tommy Kempf, Jeffersonville, IN; and five
grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded
in death by 2 brothers, Richard Kempf and C.J. Kempf.
Funeral Services will be conducted, Saturday,
July 31, 1999 at Holy Family Catholic Church, LaFayette, TN, with
Father Payikat officiating. Burial will be in Macon County
Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Shaun Carter, Mike Beyke, Tony
Kirby, Jamie Fitzpatrick, Corey Fitzpatrick and Dennis Hix.

age 72, of the Galen Community, died
Thursday, July 29, 1999 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in
Gallatin. He was born Monday, May 23, 1927, in Allen County, KY,
a son of the late James King and Nellie Doss King. He was a
retired carpenter and a member of Days Crossroads Missionary
Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He was married to Emogene
Piper King on December 24, 1954.
Survivors include his wife, Emogene Piper
King, of the Galen Community; two daughters and sons-in-law,
Patricia and Dale Cassidy and Karen and Jeff Woodard, LaFayette,
TN; one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Melissa King,
Murfreesboro, TN; one sister, Ruby Doss, LaFayette, TN; and five
grandchildren, Emily Knight, Erik Knight, Justin Woodard, Kara
Willis, John Cassidy. In addition to his parents, he was also
preceded in death by 6 brohters, Stanford King, Sedford King,
Enloe King, Carl King, Clessie Ray King, Virgil King, and a
sister, Pearl Shrum.
Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 pm,
Sunday, August 1, 1999 at the Alexander-Goad Funeral Home Chapel,
LaFayette, TN with Eld. Danny Holland officiating. Burial will be
in Macon County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Jeff Woodard,
Dale Cassidy, Erik Knight, Jerry Strong, Raybon King and John
Cassidy.

Services for Mr. Louis Edward Knight, age 76
of Red Boiling Springs, TN were conducted on Thursday, May 27,
1999 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Phillip Anderson & Son
Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with E.C. Meadows and Elder
Tom Carter officiating. Interment was in the Anderson and Son
Memorial Park. Pallbearers were: Paul Biles, Randel White,
"Rusty" Smith, Corey Knight, James Carter, and Terry
Chandler.
Mr. Louis Edward Knight passed away Tuesday,
May 25, 1999 at the Macon County General Hospital in LaFayette,
TN.
He was a native of Macon County and the son
of the late John Henry and Ruth Belle Crawford Knight. He was
also preceded in death by a son, Phillip Knight and a sister,
Blogett Knight. He was married on September 17, 1947 to the
former Ora Mae Biles, who survives. He served in WWII as a
Medical Aidman being decorated with the Good Conduct Medal, WWII
Victory Ribbon, AP Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Service Stars
and One Bronze Arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Ribbon and Two
Bronze Stars GO 23 Hq USAFFE 45. He was a Farmer and Carpenter.
Survivors besides his wife of 51 years
include: Daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Smith, Mrs. Belinda White, both
of Red Boiling Springs, Mrs. Sandra Carter and Mrs. Sheila Nash,
both of Lafayette, Son, Wayne Knight, LaFayette, Sister, Mrs.
Jewel Wakefield, Red Boiling Springs, 9 grandchildren and 3
great-grandchildren.

age 72, of the Galen Community, died Monday,
June 14, 1999 at his residence. He was born Thursday, July 22,
1926, in Davidson County, Tennessee, a son of the late Logan
Keith and Ivey Pearl Jones Keith. He was an Army Veteran of WWII
and a retired painter.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Emmitt
Keith, of the Galen Community; four sons, Logan E. Keith, Cross
Plains, TN; William E. Keith, Hermitage, TN; David Keith,
Nashville, TN; and Robert D. "Danny" Keith, Madison,
TN; a daughter-in-law, Ruby C. Keith, Hermitage, TN; two sisters,
Bonnie Irons, and Connie Freichs, both of Tellico Plains, TN;
twelve grandchildren, April Quick, Matthew Keith, Ambra Lynn
Keith, Brian Keith, Dustin Keith, Jessica Keith, and Robby Keith;
and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by a grandson, Logan Emmitt Keith, Jr., and a
brother, Sherman Keith.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 am
Thursday, June 17, 1999 at the Alexander-Goad Funeral Home
Chapel, LaFayette, TN with Bro. Keith Daugherty officiating.
Burial was in Galen Cemetery, with military honors to be provided
by LaFayette VFW Post 7135. Pallbearers were Matthew Keith, Brian
Keith, Dustin Keith, Jeremy Keith, Jeffrey Keith, Robbie Keith
and Keith Quick.

age 68 of LaFayette passed away on May 13,
1999 in Bowling Green, Warren Co., KY.
Born on 17 Dec 1930 in Madison,TN he was the
son of A.B. King and Myrtle Hargis King. He married Iva Lorene
Johnson on 09 Jul 1952, she survives. Other survivors include a
daughter, Carolyn White and her daughters Beth and Courtney White
of LaFayette. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Day
Donoho.
Services for Mr. King were conducted on
Saturday, May 15, 1999 in the Chapel of Alexander-Goad Funeral
Home in Lafayette. With interment in the Macon County Memorial
Gardens.

age 73, of LaFayette, TN died Saturday, May
1, 1999 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born
Wednesday, March 10, 1926, in Macon County,TN, a son of the late
Vernon Keene and Melissa Cleora Brawner Keene. He was a United
States Army Veteran of WWII, a member of the Meadorville
Missionary Baptist Church, and a retired farmer. On September 24,
1947, he was married to Maggie Parker Keene, who survives.
Survivors include his wife of over 51 years,
Maggie Parker Keene; two daughters and sons-n-law, Tracy and
Chris Tuck and Cheryl and Donald Huntsman; one son and
daughter-in-law, Rickey and Sheila Keene, all of LaFayette, TN;
two sisters, Ruth Langford, LaFayette, TN; and Martha Martin,
Tellico Plains, TN; one brother, Paul Keene, LaFayette, TN; six
grandchildren, Turell Wix, Tony Keene, Eric Huntsman, Adam
Huntsman, Natalie Tuck, Taylor Tuck; three great-grandchildren,
Jory Wix, Morgan Wix, and Jacob Keene and two step-grandchildren,
Tracy Austin and Terry Austin. In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by 2 sons, Tony Keene and Barry Keene.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 pm,
Tuesday, May 4, 1999 at the Alexander-Goad Funeral Home Chapel,
LaFayette, TN with Eld. Harold Dean Linville officiating. Burial
was in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Keith
Langford, Danny Langford, Billy Rhea Gregory, Kelly Morgan, Vin
Cline, Randy Keene, and Gary Keene.
