Well, time for another rant. Every couple of years, the American public is saturated in political ads and canidates oozing their slick charm to get you to vote for them. This is sickening and degrading. Canidates sling insults at one another, trying to make themselves look better when *everyone* knows that they're full of bullshit. God, do they really think that people don't know that? Everytime we, as the American public, are asked to choose a President, someone that will be running the country for 4 years, we get these shitty canidates that say one thing, yet do something 180 degrees different. Hell, the reason we revere our Founding Fathers (bastards that they may be) is because one, they were fighting a goddamn war to win freedom and two, THEY DID WHAT THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD DO. Puts a whole different spin on things when if you lose, you lost everything, including your life. So, they wond freedom and kept their lives. Ever since then, basically everything in the U.S. government has degraded to the point of being laughable. The Presidency is a joke, the Senate is a joke, the House is a joke, and politicos are the biggest joke of all. Hell, that's the reason late night talk shows open up with a starting monolouge that basically slams the American government.

Each canidate says that they're the ones that are going to change Washington for the better. Bullshit. The same problems are going to be there staring them in the face. And they aren't gonna do a damn thing about it. They can talk all they want to, but when it somes down to it, they *like* the way Washington is. It pays them and it pays them WELL. Each year, Congress votes on a pay hike for them, while leaving people MORE deserving (like cops, fire fighters, and teachers) in the lurch. And you notice what the canidates look like? Rich old white guys. Elizabeth Dole doesn't even count 'cause she quit. Besides, she was white too. Hell, ALL of our Presidents have been rich old white guys that lie even more than a car salesman. And every single President was Christian too. Not that I have anything against that, mind you. Besides, that's another rant. Back to the point at hand. In the history of American politics, no minority has ever been in the running for President. Colin Powell had a chance and hell, he might have been a pretty good President too. But he didn't run. You know what I personally want to see? I want to see a black (or any other minority, I don't care) bisexual female to run for President. She'd get *my* vote for damn sure. Hell, what I want is someone who's into straight talk. I can't stand people debating for hours and yet NOT get to the goddamn point. In Congress, this happens everytime they meet. They're wasting OUR money squibbling over little points and details. Hell, we're the ones that are paying their salary. They should be at our beck & call instead of us having to go through a fucking ton of red tape just to talk to them.

Politics suck. These people speak for a large group of people. SO don't you think that the Senators or at LEAST the Representatives should go out into the community and listen to what people have to say on the subject instead of presuming that they know what the people they represent want. It could be completely different than what the Senators or Representatives want. Another thing, these politicos have got to learn to LISTEN to us. You want to become a political figure? Go for it. Just remember where the hell you came from. Don't conform to other people's standards. If they don't like you, tell them to go fuck themselves. They aren't worth it. So go in there and fucking change the political system. Don't conform to it. That's what everyone else did. And look what it got them.
