Information about Dr. Paul E. Jones aka "True Revival Fires"

With an ancestry on his father’s side of 3 generations of ordained ministers, Paul takes his call to teach the gospel, metaphysical and paranormal issues as a generational mandate. Licensed and ordained by "United Christian Fellowship" of Danville Virginia. in 1984, he, planted a church in Danville, "Church of Outreach Ministries", where he co-pastored for 5 years before being called to Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1989. There, Paul preached, and directed the praise and worship musical teams at many local churches, while continuing his studies with Calvary Pentecostal School of Biblical Studies in Ashland Virginia. There he received his Masters of Divinity in 1989, and an honoree doctorate in 1993.

Then, in July 2007, he responded to the Lord’s call to "Universal Church of Deliverance, under the direction of Bishop Allan Butler Sr ", Knoxville, Tennessee, where he serves as a minister of biblical studies and as a praise and worship member and  leader too.

Understanding that he has been entrusted with a unique vision for worship, revival, renewal and restoration, he has founded and recently incorporated, "True Revival Fires  Broadcasting Network", where the wisdom he has been entrusted with is being taught all over the world through the world wide web and internet radio.

With a heart and call to see new life and restoration happen for the peoples and individuals in our community, Paul crosses denominational lines to apostolically and prophetically minister in various churches, conferences and religious schools across America. He has a vision and a passion to prepare the next generation of people who will walk in the oneness of God, religion and humanity, emphasizing truth, authenticity, and integrity in both life and daily walk. Taking Christ’s very clear call to heart, “to preach GOOD NEWS to the poor…” both, Paul and the life of his faith reflect that purpose. Paul teaches with a very broad perspective of the wisdom of the ages, which challenges legalism and breaks past religious obstacles that hinder the Holy Spirit from moving among the people. Moving beyond the confines of church walls, and linking in the marketplace and the community, it is his desire to see the whole body of Christ free from the many forms of bondage to religious control, competition, and dis-unity in order to fulfill God's ultimate call to “Go and make disciples…TEACHING them...”

Paul Jones is a worshipper at heart who longs to see the people of God enter their fullness in relational worship to the Father. Paul is best known for his ability to lead people into the glory realms of Heaven, where intimate encounters with God become easy. Paul cultivates an atmosphere in worship that releases the Body of Christ to worship freely and expressively before His throne. He has a heart to see Christ be the center of our worship, not a worship leader, or a worship band. His willingness to let God move in various ways whether through singing, the musicians, or the Word makes his style unique. Vince longs for God to show up in every service regardless of the method He chooses to manifest Himself.

Paul has been involved in preaching, teaching and  leading worship for more than 30 years in many l churches. These many years of worship experience have given Vince the chance to see many changes in worship styles and genres and he is excited to now see the Church enter into new realms of revelatory, prophetic worship. His relationship with Jesus has caused a longing in Paul's heart to see worship develop into a lifestyle and not a moment in time experience.

Paul has been studying and writing on biblical studies, spiritual realities, the paranormal and earth mysteries over 30 some years now. He has a desire to write things that will stimulate your mind. He says he wants to make you think, then to react. He hopes that some of the insights of wisdom that he has gathered can help those that are searching their way through their path. His poetry expresses how he live in these days and the times that are coming. Paul is eclectic and open minded in his thinking and his views. God loves all His children and has a special work for them. So join Paul's world, his mind, his thoughts and his concepts.

About Dr. Paul Edwin Jones

I started in the ministry when I was about 8 years old, around the year 1971. I was living on the farm with my mom and her parents. There used to be a barn out in the back. So I would preach there. Many kids in the neighborhood would come by. So we would hold meeting every Sunday around 2pm.

Between the year 1972 and 1978. I went to First Baptist of Reidsville North Carolina., where I became part of the youth ministry there.

Then my mom in 1979 moved to Danville Virginia. This is where I became part of my grandfather's church, Non-Denominational Christian Tabernacle. His name was Rev. L. J. Harris. For about 5 years I studied under his leadership and authority .

In 1984, God sent two mighty women of God in my life, Betty Donavant and Loretta Barbour. They were both traveling ministers of the Lord Jesus Christ. Through these women many doors were opened for me. I had the privilege to minister the word in many churches throughout Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia.. Also in 1984, Betty Donavant and her husband, licensed and ordained me into the gospel, through the United Christian Fellowship .

Also in 1984 and 1985, I became pastor of a church in Eden N.C, Revival Time Ministries.  This is where I begin to learn about what it meant to be a true leader of the gospel. In 1985, Pastor Barbour started a church, "Church of Outreach Ministries" where I co-pastored for 5 years there.

Throughout these years I was taking a bible course through the mail and on campus during summer months with the "Calvary Pentecostal Church" of Richmond Virginia.  In 1989, I received my Masters of Divinity  with the Calvary Pentecostal Church. In 1993 I was awarded an honoree doctorate with same college.

From 1989 until 1992, God sent me to Knoxville Tennessee, where I became the assistant pastor and worship leader of Manna Christian Tabernacle, under the direction of Barry Cook. I work  with his ministry until 1992.

From 1992 till 1998, I was a lay minister and worship leader at a Full Gospel Baptist church called Northshore Baptist Church. The pastor's name was James Pellom.

I also had a radio ministry throughout these years, called  The Gospel is Alive. I started being the co-host on my grandfather's radio program from 1979 until 1989. Then I started my own program around 1984, up till now. I have been on many radio and television stations., preaching, singing and teaching the power of the Holy Ghost in our lives today..

One of most interesting things that has happen to me was back in 1984, a minister from China, Alice Ford, who was in Richmond Virginia, gave me a prophecy about what God was going to do in the work he had for me. She told me that I would lead praise and worship sessions all over the world. She also said she saw me sitting behind a desk preaching and teaching the gospel. I first thought this was television or radio, these I have done.

During the 90s lots of wonderful things happen to me. I studied under some of the greatest spiritual teachers that God has placed upon this earth. Elizabeth Clare Prophet of "Church Universal and Triumphed", where I learned about Jesus, Buddha, understanding various world religions, ascended masters and other realities of the new age. Neal Donald Walsh's books on "Conversation with God", have done wonders in my life, giving me an insight in life, my role in the earth, and my mission and purpose, as I live positive in a negative world. In April of 1996 I received "The Mechezedek Priesthood through Stephen Coskie who was an initiate of the order . In 1998, I came across some wonderful books written by Dr. Joshua David Stone, called "The Ascension Manual" There are almost 20 volumes in this series.

So through the internet and the world wide web I share the gospel of the Kingdom. Through Jesus Christ, my Lord, my Savior, my Teacher, I share the principles he taught in scriptures that connects us with God, ourselves, and the human race.

Jesus said.....1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

In 1995, I signed on what they call the internet on the world wide web. It took me a while to pray about what name I would use as a online minister. Then I recall in my early years with under my grandfather's ministry, he said "Paul, Son, when you preach always preach grace. The world may be evil and it may be getting worse, but grace will never fail. So give the people grace, and let God do the rest." So after praying and seeking God a while I came up with the name True Revival Fires. And I use this name all over the internet. Everywhere I go, most people know me as  True Revival Fires.. Whether its AOL, Yahoo, Paltalk, they all know my user name as True Revival Fires.

I am a seeker of truth, blending many traditions and paths, applying knowledge gained to help my fellow spiritual friends towards reaching their goals. I believe in the Most High. I believe that we are Spiritual beings in physical bodies. I believe that we are all in part Divine. I believe that we are all here to complete our piece of "The Great Work". I believe in the power of prayer in all faiths...

I believe that devotion is the key to enlightenment. I believe that faith is the key to healing - emotionally, physically and spiritually. I believe that love is the most powerful force on this planet - and in its vast expansion will create Heaven on Earth. This lifetime I have walked many pathways and studied many religions and philosophies. Although I was raised as a Christian and still honor the teachings of Christ among others, I love to fellowship and learn from other religions and traditions.

I became a spiritual seeker when I was twelve and have studied the Bible, the Book of Mormon, Buddhism, Hinduism, Paganism, Shamanism, Metaphysical/New Age and beyond. My spiritual journey is evolutionary, full of questions and the compulsion to search for truth. I tend to get a little mental but my joy is in my real, heart-felt communion with God which I experience in other people, nature, silence, music, prayer, poetry and in ways I am not aware. Love is my primary reality. I am a pilgrim on a journey seeking first and foremost my own truth.

As life evolves and experiences teaches, I am most interested in sharing my journey with others, and sharing in their journeys. For I believe, that we cannot walk another man's path, but in sharing we can come to understand and grow. I believe that I have a purpose, a reason for being, a mission to fulfill on this earth plane. I want to be of service to my Creator, to be one of God's power houses of light, love, blessings and healings. I want to be a part of the collective spiritual consciousness that will propel us into the next millennium.

Psalms 100
Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us,
and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with
praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations.

Our host to this ministry is Paul Michael Jones. I have been in the ministry for about 30 years. Seen a lot of wonderful things throughout these years. I believe that God is pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh. We are fulfilling a divine destiny in a world that needs revival, renewal and restoration.

Matthew 28:18- 20
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All
power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
 and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I
have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,
even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 16:15-18
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world,
and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that
believeth not shall be damned.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name
shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing,
it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the
sick, and they shall recover.

John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me,
the works that I do shall he do also;
and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Well since then, the Lord Jesus Christ has come a long ways in my life. He has given me a desire to share deep spiritual knowledge and wisdom to the masses of his people. I have a desire to see God's  people equipped for the work of the ministry. God has given me deep spiritual knowledge of the bible on the five-fold ministry, prayer, praise, worship, spiritual gifts, the esoteric, the metaphysical, and spiritual warfare. I desire to impart what he has taught me to give it to you.

We are living in some awesome times on earth. It seems God is no where to be found, but he is here. he is alive and he desires to do a work in our lives. You may feel like the whole world is crashing around you. I tell you, do not fear!. get up! God is moving. he is pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh. He has a divine destiny for all of us in these days that are ahead. Something is going on in the heavenlies. Are we ready to be what he wants us to be. Time will only tell.

Ephesians 1:17-23 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Some points and statements made by Rev. Paul Michael Jones
That you must be born again to enter the kingdom of God. This means that you must be conceived spiritually by the Holy Spirit. Paul prayed that "Christ would again be formed " in the  Galatians. You must also receive the full baptism.

That we should be meek and lowly in heart like Jesus was. Get rid of your own self-importance and win the prize. And in this case, everyone can be a winner!

Everything in the spiritual realm revolves around the Cross of Christ. It finalized the positions of the spiritual "authorities". But to be in authority you must already be under authority.

That the devil attempts to use scripture to tempt you to try to make God's promises work. But only God makes his promises work. Just believe, watch and see. It definitely can't be done in your own strength. Let the Spirit do it and the fireworks begin.

That God looks on the heart and does not judge by the outer appearance. Natural man always looks to the outward. But the cleansing of the outside of the cup will never be enough in itself.

That God is a Spirit  ... and our only contact with him, in this age, is directly on that level.

To praise God is to glorify His actions and express our admiration. We are not saying "thank you"; we are saying, "We are in awe of what you are doing".

Jeremiah 31:31- 34
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD:  for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

The New Wave
Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers
Ephesians 4:11- 13
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

There have been quite a few prophecies regarding a resurgence of new leadership in the Church, and indeed a new 'type' or character of leadership.   Certainly we need a new 'type' of leadership today one which would fulfill the standards that Jesus taught for authority, and those who would 'fit the bill' would fail to be ego-driven or ego-centered.

So much of what we bring to the table in our current limited perspective is at this point often so speculative because we to some degree relate all things out of our previously tainted experience base. I suppose many look for a new breed of hotshots who will be so much hotter than the rest.  They'll flash bigger smiles, have more confidence, walk with more polish, and teach the flashiest sermons.  But how many of us have walked with Paul, or Peter, or Thomas or Matthew?   The off scouring of the earth was was they were sometimes called. Crucified, homeless, despised by some, recognized and honored by others, overly honored by some others still.

I will call it a 'new wave' because I think what God sends us in an expected coming release of prophets and apostles will bring a whole restored paradigm that Jesus, Paul, and John the baptist especially lived and taught.

I believe the Lord has been preparing for some time now a whole special generation of apostles and prophets. Though they may first appear on the scene in a somewhat typical fashion, ultimately I think what is brought to the church will strongly change the appearance of what we currently call church.

You see, apostles and prophets are foundation layers; that's what makes their heart tick.   When they look at the church they see what the necessary foundations are, and the principals of construction that are to be followed on those precious foundations.   The may not be experts at every detail of the outworking of all these things, but they come with THE FOUNDATIONAL ESSENCES out of which every timber and every stone are to be fashioned and set with.

The zeal of the Lord is the prophetic burden that has been growing for some time now in their hearts, a passion, a vision, a clearer perspective that what we have yet known as 'church'.

It's not a political revolution, exercising a new type of dominion or papacy.  What they bring is a revolution of heart foundations, which will inspire a revolution of leadership and ministry; returning the church to the foundations of 'one body, one family, one for all and all for one.'

The revolution they bring is a returning to the foundation of Christ, the one His apostles laid; who refused crowns, who brought no manipulative slap on the cheek, as Paul said some of the church of even his day had already degraded to becoming attracted to in some leaders.   Any ecclesiastical/political revolution will be the result of the content of their lives and ministry, but not throne seeking on their part.   In fact I doubt if any thrones are here for them, perhaps more crosses than thrones, that's the way it was for the first twelve.

The call of this release of apostles and prophets to the church will bring a whole new (new to us) blood line so to speak into the leadership of the church.   It will infuse the leaders in every area of ministry to a whole turn around in their perspectives of life and ministry.  A new day may be ushered in for the church to experience the real life of Christ in community.  Others I think will obstinately refuse this move, lovers of crowns and thrones, both those who sit on them, and those who love to have others sitting on them.

Gone from these ones who follow the heart of true apostles and true prophets will be the paradigm that ministers live to be served, to be the privileged amongst the many.   Gone will be the paradigm of despotic attitudes where men have allowed themselves to be made kings, or made themselves into such.

At first I believe many prophets and apostles who have waited on the Lord for this time, waiting and refusing to become self promoters, when the Lord releases them into the beginnings of His promotion, some will probably then falter.  They will probably slip into the same old ruts that have been so well worn into these roads we have rutted out now so deeply it's difficult for anybody given any anointing and attention to not fall into.

I think though, and I hope I'm not just thinking optimistically now, that the training they have been through, and the deep convictions the Lord has entrained in their spirits and hearts will come through, and many that leave the right track will return to the inner track worn into a path for their hearts and minds by years of hiddeness and laying it down, to keep it down, and only walk in the way of the Lord.

Jesus laid out the path so clear for the first twelve apostles, and they called Him 'Master.'  And His path became engrained by those lessons He lived with them daily for those several years.

Let us all, as many as hear the call to Father the church in a coming day, where we may live what we teach, and prove by real genuine deference that we mean what we speak.  God is watching you right now. How well do you defer to your wife, your sons and daughters, others at church.

Do not be afraid to stand when the Lord tells you to stand; but never be afraid of moving out of the way, in fact be looking for it, so the Lord, and others may be brought higher, not you.   Your job, if you are called to anything significant, is measured by how high you can lift Jesus up, and help others proceed into success in Him; and how far they can run. The measure of your assistance to others, usually without pageantry or a microphone in your face, is what meets out value of lasting substance in the presence of our Lord and of His Christ.

Do you choose valor and honor and prestige in the sight of men, and based on the inventions of their measuring rods; or do you choose to simply be about what your Father gives you?

Jesus was the best example of an apostle.   If you study and follow His behavior, His radical way of loving, His abhorrence for ceremony and religious protocol, His simple way of BEING AND DOING, without trumpet, without earthly accord, avoiding earthly thrones, crowns, and titles.  He loved, more than anything He loved.   He showed.   He served.  He shepherded (a lowly job).  He was patient, like a Father with His children. He then turned it over to them.

Paul was the second best example of an apostle.   He closely followed on Christ's example.

John the baptist was the best example of a prophet.   He lived to introduce Christ.   He lived to bring the people to the living Christ and not himself. His joy was to hear the bridegrooms voice with His bride. He did not want to get in the way, but lived with one passion, to bring the bride to her waiting groom, to enamor her with Him. If you're looking for apostles and prophets, look for this!

I sense in the Lord that the Apostolic reformation is about to burst forth upon the church. There will be 2 streams - the one - will seem prominent with many "big name" people declaring their apostolic credentials. The other stream will be the "unknowns" those who have been trained and developed over time - those who are "nobodies" in themselves.

I also sense a warning - the apostolic stream - the prominent ones by those who are known to many - will be used by the enemy to turn the church leadership into a dictatorship. I see in this stream a return to the same conditions that occurred in the 2nd C AD when local elders - called Bishops became higher ranking regional leaders and eventually - one became the Pope. Beware of that spirit because the new apostolic will take of the shepherding heresy and magnify the wrong spirit - claiming apostolic authority. The Lord though is raising up the apostles - his apostles - those called, those created, molded over time, those who are humble, those who are broken for upon these will the Lord's authority be poured out. These are the ones who understand authority and will give their very lives for the church of God should that be required. The Lord says - resist the apostolic that seems right - the one that seems as if it will succeed - resist the push for power and see His heart. In the true apostles - the Lord's heart will be seen - the cross will be seen and the love, mercy, compassion and determination will be seen.
