Teaching Biblical Wisdom For Today

Bringing Revival, Renewal and Restoration to all God's people

Revelation 7:9-10 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Habakkuk 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Haggai 2:9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Colossians 1:27  ....Christ in you, the hope of glory:

I am dedicated to explaining the beauty of the Christian Tradition and dispelling many myths and misconceptions about what we believe.  Catholic and Biblical Wisdom is a ministry of the gospel to the Eternal God of the Universe and the teachings of the scriptures that He has given us, and dedicated to the new evangelistic and apologetic; My goal is to awaken all to the treasures of the 2000 year old Catholic Tradition through prayer, evangelistic activities and the ongoing witness of the lives of all God's people throughout this world. Jesus Christ is my eternal hope!

I am moved by the great commission Jesus gave to his apostles to share the word of Our Heavenly Father, the Gospel which was foretold by the prophets beforehand and fulfilled in the person of Jesus Christ, who is Truth.  Truth is a person.  As St. Paul writes, "God our Savior . . .desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" and this by faith and grace.

Join me in my quest  for Truth and explore the Catholic Tradition with me!  There is no disparity between faith and reason, for many if us believes that...... and on this rock I will build my church and the powers of death [hell] shall not prevail against it.  I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven ..."

We know of many ancient sacred records of the People of Yahweh throughout the centuries. The most famous of course is the Bible. But there are many other sacred writings that are not part of the Bible, but do contain the Inspired Word of Yahweh.

The Bible includes older and newer divisions, called ‘testaments’. The first part of the Bible contains the revelation of the Creation, the Torah [the commandments of God the Father to His Covenant People], Hebrew history, and revelations given to the Prophets of Yahweh.

The New Testament part of the Bible contains eyewitness accounts of the life, teachings and miracles of the Messiah Jesus. It also contains letters of instruction written by Apostles

The Bible contains prophecies about the future. It contains poems and hymns. It contains wisdom and recommendations for success.

The reason there are commandments and laws in the Bible is for the purpose of God’s people leading happy, low-stress lives. They are given for the benefit of the people who follow Yahweh, to direct them through life’s challenges, and guide them toward successful lives.

The Nephite Record is Scripture that contains the spiritual records and history of Israelites and others who migrated to the American continent several centuries before the birth of the Messiah. It includes prophecies, many plain and precious spiritual guidelines, and clarifications of covenants that Yahweh made with Israel. It also includes the record of the Messiah’s visitation and ministry to ancient Americans, following His resurrection. The ancient Nephite records were unearthed in 1827, and first published in 1830 under the title ‘Book of Mormon’.

There are many other sacred epigrapha [writings] that have been recorded through history by the followers of the God of the Hebrews.

The Dead Sea Scrolls are the most famous collection of ancient records that included sacred writings not found in the Bible. They were discovered between 1947 and 1956. Most have been published, but some are still awaiting translation.

The Nag Hammadi Library is a lesser-known collection of epigrapha, discovered in Egypt in 1945. These are apocryphal writings from before and after the times of the Messiah. The Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Philip were found in the Nag Hammadi collection.

The Apocrypha are a dozen Hebrew writings that are included in some versions of the Bible, but not others. They were mainly written during the few centuries before the birth of the Messiah, and contain prophecies, wisdom, and history. Apocrypha means ‘hidden writings’. The Apocrypha includes Ecclesiasticus, the Wisdom of Solomon, and history of the Maccabees [which includes the story of Hanukkah].
Another example of epigrapha from the centuries before Christ includes the Book of Jasher, which covers the time of the patriarchs. The Books of Enoch, which are referred to in the New Testament, are apocalyptic, revealing many things about the Heavens. There are many other sacred records and hymns written by ancient worshippers of Yahweh.

One of the most difficult obstacles I have had to overcome in my faith journey is the spirit of independence. This is a wonderful country built on that wonderful spirit. But, unfortunately, it is that very spirit that often separates us from a true relationship with Christ for two simple reasons.

So, most of us find a church that makes us feel good. Lets us worship God in "our" way. In other words, we don't want to bear a cross. We don't want to feel guilty. We want it "our" way, which of course is not necessarily" Yahweh's" way. We want to storm the gates of heaven. Write our own ticket......

My Heavenly Father has graced me through prayer and the teachings of the Church with a true understanding of what Jesus did for all of us and the truth of the Catholic Tradition. And yes, the teachings of the Church are oh so very critical. We have all been guilty of answering our own prayers the way we want them answered. That is what I like about the secrets of the Eucharist. I know I am forgiven instead of "forgiving myself" through selfish prayer. I don't like to assume anything.........

The most important thing to me in the Christ is the Eucharist. We join with Jesus through the blessed sacrament of the Eucharist. We remain in him, and he in us. Jesus speaks of his flesh and blood, but many cannot comprehend what he means. That was true in his time also. We are too caught up in the worldly meaning of "flesh and blood" to understand that his real presence in the Eucharist is glorious. Real food to strengthen us on our journey. So many people today can't seem to grasp this. Sometimes it is difficult to overcome what we have been taught as a child and find the truth. But the truth is there.

At one time or another, we have all wondered how the Jewish religious leaders in the time of Jesus could have strayed so far from what God had intended. We all feel pretty confident that we know what God thinks and we would never get to the point reached by the holy men of Jerusalem. Yet today, we can look at the many "variations" of Christianity and come to the realization that we have done exactly that. We have all decided that we know best and we can interpret the bible and obtain our own meaning. We, as a religious society, have decided that we all understand Christ and we all have the answers. We all have the inside track to salvation. The fragmentation started with the Protestant Reformation and has accelerated ever since.

In the time of Jesus there was only one truth. He founded one Church. For 2,000 years there was only one Church. For 2,000 years there was only one truth. Paul did not foretell the coming of the Roman Catholic Church or the Protestant Reformation and the thousands of different Christian churches, but he did warn us about the human nature that led to it.

For about the last 400 years, Protestant churches have multiplied and divided until today there are over 33,000 denominations - all professing their own version of the truth. Most Churches today disregard the Holy Scriptures, which is the literal living history of the Church founded by Jesus. I explain it to my teachings in this way. Imagine in 20 years you go to a high school reunion. When you begin to reminisce about your time in school, all you are allowed to do is to open your yearbook and look through it, read it.

You can't talk about anything but what is in your yearbook. You can't talk about any of the activities that pictures bring to mind. You can't rely on the memory of others to refresh your memory about some of the things you have forgotten. That eliminates a big part of your high school years. This is a very simple analogy with Sacred Scriptures. Disregarding Sacred Scriptures strips the faith down to only what you can read and leaves much open to interpretation. While we all hold the Sacred Scriptures dear to our heart and read them often, it is important to know from early church history how things were done, why they were done, and other critical aspects of the Faith not found in the Bible. It is important how the early Church worshiped. It is important how the early Church practiced and understood the Faith. Take some time in your life to learn about Jesus and HIS Church. Take time to learn THE COMPLETE TRUTH and experience THE COMPLETE FAITH.

If you take time to learn only one more thing in your life, I pray that you open your heart and learn about the Ancient Tradition of the Early Church. I mean that sincerely. The Church is the single most consistent representation for the true faith of Jesus and has remained so for through the restoration. Do not let your mind be poisoned and turned against the truth. If you are one of God's people, you know the truth. Come learn about the Church founded by Jesus and learn the WHOLE truth. Jesus started one Church. Christ warned about the wisdom of man as compared to the wisdom of God. Do not fall to the folly of men who think they can do it better. The Church was founded by and belongs to Jesus. It is not a free enterprise opportunity.
