Teddy Bear -
Hold My Secrets

Teddy Bear - Teddy Bear -
hold my secrets of the night
Tell no one what I tell you
I've squooshed you 'til you're ragged
I am so sorry
But, a comfort to me you are
Please don't tell of your showers
Taken under the rain of my tears
Please don't tell of my cries
into your ears
Cries in fear and anguish - all alone
Please don't tell of my longings
For a spouse's comforting arm -
to rest my head
Please don't tell of our trips to far away
Daydreams of heaven's splendors
That my new rich husband has for me
Please don't tell of my woes
Of single parenthood - its fears
Never for sure of what to do
Teddy Bear - Teddy Bear - please
don't tell of my true age
Just a tiny child - all alone
stranded on a street-corner
Lost - downtown - alone - afraid
ever crying - "Daddy"
To silent ears away, now dead
Teddy Bear - hold my secrets - tell
not a soul
My secrets of love and of fear
My secrets of dreams - of hopes
My secrets of despair
Teddy Bear - hold my secrets ever dear.
