Sounds like it'll work..now..let's see if I can do it!! Giggle. God bless you.............

(Gene, I love you so very much, and miss you so deeply. But, we shall be together once again for all of eternity in heaven - Glory Land.  Tears fall, but it was a joy to have been your sister.  All the fun, the laughter, the fights, climbing trees, playing in the creek, secrets talks about Daddy, secret tears we shared, all the advice you gave me.  I cherish the memories - but, hold firm that in heaven we will have LIFE!! Until then, my soul will go on singing...until then with JOY, I'll carry on!!  Forever, Glory Land Bound!!)

Our Marriage
Larry Jackson Batton to Gail Lynn Johnson-Steadman
10/23/76 to 08/21/92
Divorce was healed by God on 12/23/96
Larry died on 12/27/96
(God is not the author of strife and divorce - but, of love and of peace.  Larry and I had many rough years.  In the final months of his life, he truly gave his entire life to Jesus Christ and became a totally new person.  I fell in love with that new person and we had decided to remarry in time to come.  We never had that opportunity - but, I know in heaven we have an eternity of total peace together.  In heaven we will have joy and love instead of strife.  Praise the Lord!!)

(Wow time flies doesn't it.

My children are grown - Tina is a Registered Nurse and had been married and had a beautiful Angel of a daughter. She remarried to Duane who had a beautiful daughter and sharp looking son by his former marriage. They have a great marriage and I consider all 3 of the "children" to be my "Grandies" and I am "Grammie in Miami" :) As of today, the oldest granddaughter from Tina and Duane just graduated from High School and is engaged to be married and is going on to college - wahoooo - and most of all she and her beloved know JESUS and are very dear. The 2 younger grandies are now in 11th in high school - both the same age - and in the past even were in same classes in school.

Larry E. Batton - my son - is a great man who drives trucks in the coal mines in West Virginia and seems to be quite happy now that he has a wonderful girl-friend who has a 14 yr old - a 7 yr old and a 4 yr old - all girls and they adore Larry and he adores them. I'm waiting to hear about some wonderful news soon (no - no more kids - lol).

I have no contact with my eldest daughter that I had when I was a teen and had to give up for adoption - I hope she will reconnect again with me - it's been a couple yrs now. Her daughter - my oldest grandie - is 19 yrs old - I got to meet her and she's really cool.

WHAT ABOUT ME???

Although I have had JESUS, after Larry J. Batton died, I was lonely and looking for love in all the wrong places. THEN - a handsome NAVY man - CAREY COX - came into my life as a friend for almost a yr and then God paved the way for us to live a GLORIOUS life together - praising the Lord - we live in an ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY and for TEN years now have been in the love that we both were searching for - one that would grow stronger each day - one that would be based on the love and life of JESUS CHRIST. WOW - makes me feel butterflies - after 10 yrs of bliss. My health has deteriorated greatly and Carey helps me in any way I need. I'm in a wheel-chair or hospital bed and on oxygen and CPAP most all of the time. But having the love of God and the love of a spouse means there is JOY in our lives through it all!!

I'm going to post some links to Tina's profile, Larry's Profile, and the page I created for Carey and me TOGETHER :) And my profile too
