DADDY - I LOVE YOU Daddy - I love you Your mind and heart are overwhelmed With sorrows deep and wide Despair has gripped you in its hold And shaken you at your roots My tears are falling, for I care I feel your sorrows, - and your pain So far away - so helpless in reaching you My heart is pounding after your needs And all that I can do is tell you Daddy - I love you Daddy - I love you You have taken my life under your wing Fathering me and my fatherless son Taking my faults, - and turning them to success Taking my fears, - and turning them to peace Taking my sorrows, - and turning them to joy Taking my needs, - and turning them to supplied Taking my weaknesses, - and turning them to strengths Through your prayers and love and discipline And all that I can do for you now is tell you Daddy - I love you Daddy - I love you Please hold on to my heart when you want to give up Let me be an anchor  in you raging seas of despair Let me hold you close  as you cry out your woes to me Let me love you through this  -  let me be your strength Let me shield you in my prayers and love Let me help you as you, have so many times helped me Tears are flowing, - for I feel so helpless I want to take these problems from you And all that I can do for you now is tell you Daddy - I love you Daddy - I love you Hold to my hand as I hold to Christ's We will pull you through this Just hold on and let us be your strength Daddy - I just want you to remember   I love you!
