Across
the Open Sea
Up
and down this sandy beach - I slowly trod - Ever looking
Out
to sea - to the horizon - afar
Waves
splash shimmers - Across my toes as I stand
Gulls
swoop low - Hoping for food from my hands
The
morning sun's rays - Glitter across the waves - As they move to shore
To
end their journey - broken asunder upon the sands
Up
and down this sandy beach - You slowly trod - Ever looking
Out
to sea - to the horizon - afar
Waves
splash shimmers - Across your toes as you stand
Gulls
swoop low - Hoping for food from your hands
The
morning sun's rays - Glitter across the waves - As they move to shore
To
end their journey - broken asunder upon the sands
I
cannot see you - nor you me - But across the open sea - We Are!!
