• The video for One Headlight was filmed over 2 days, under the Manhattan Bridge in New York City in 15 degree weather. It was so cold that the video's director (whose eye also froze to camera's eyepiece in the frigid temps!) told Jakob that he could stop lip-synching if he got too cold, but he kept going after a heater was set up to keep him warm.
• The flashing lights in the video for One Headlight represent the subway.
• All the band members have on Armani suits in One Headlight!
• The band wore silk long johns under their suits in the One Headlight.
• Armani sends Jakob clothes for free.
• Jakob's birthday is December 9, 1969 (thanks Michelle!).
• Jakob is the youngest of five children (Jesse, Samuel, Anna, and Maria)
• Jakob learned guitar at the age of 13, but never wanted to follow in his dad's footsteps. He studied art at Parson's School of Art and Design in New York City, but he actually only stayed in school for a week, finding that the professors were far too critical of his work and that he was unable to be creative on demand. He moved to an apartment off 6th Avenue (where he was inspired to write 6th Avenue Heartache) and held different jobs, such as delivering Chinese food.

• An early personal favorite of Jakob's was The Clash (Rock The Casbah), whom he says he was attracted to both by the strength of the songs and the group's image.
• Jakob respects artists who refuse to cooperate with the expectations of the pop industry, but he has made the choice to make videos, pose for magazine covers, etc.
• The Wallflowers almost changed their name to "Cold Fire" (suggested by Greg's dad), which is a name that appears on one of the posters in the video for The Difference.
• Jakob presented the award for Best New Artist at the 39th Annual Grammy Awards along with Steve Winwood and Sheryl Crow. (LeAnn Rimes won the award.)
• Jakob and actor Kevin Spacey were dressed almost exactly alike at the 39th Annual Grammy Awards.
• Greg Richling plays the bass for Fiona Apple's Shadowboxer on her album Tidal.
• Jakob was spotted at Bertucci's (an Italian restaurant) the day after doing the first of two shows in Atlanta. He ordered a vegetarian pizza.
• Jakob was nominated for the Most Fashionable Artist Award at the 1997 VH1 Fashion Awards (he lost out to Beck).
• People Magazine selected Jakob as The Sexiest Rock Star Alive in their 1997 Sexiest Man Alive issue.

So now you're probably asking yourself, "How does she know this stuff?" Well, no, I don't have any connections with The Wallflowers, I don't have ESP, and I didn't just make this stuff up! :) As I said before, all of this information was given to me by my friend Jessie, who also has no band connections, ESP, and did not make it up! Jessie got this great stuff from such reliable sources as VH1's Pop Up Videos (VH1 had a pop-up version of One Headlight but stopped airing it) and various other publications.
