-In Norway-
- TONY came to Norway to join the rehearsals few days before the first TNT show in 4 years. The band & their crews warmed
up for 3 days intensively at Raufoss Kino (Raufoss Theatre) in RONNI & DAG´s home town Raufoss, Toten.
- Concert in Oslo was especially great, according to the band and the others. Full house with a lot of screeming fans. The
audience could not calm their excitement down after the show and theyrushed into the backstage. "We thought maybe 4 or 5 fans would
visit us. But you know what? 150 people came!" said RONNI.
- In the early morning on the next day after the concert in Oslo, the band took British Airways flying to Japan via London.
As you can imagine, it was almost a big party on board. Other passengers around them were totally upset, and they started to move
their seat to avoid them. According to a fly attendant who unfortunately had to take care of them, they tryed alkohol as much as
possible. And a bad boy who did not take a seat and did not fasten a set-belt properly, was RONNI LE TEKRØ: everyone´s guitar hero.
-In Japan-
- The band, theri crew and managers came to the first concert-city Nagoya in the morning on 21st.
Most of them could not sleep well on the plane (because of...party) and were almost like zombies when
they arrived there. But an important meeting with Japanese promotor was expected...
- While the others enjoyed a one-day-off in Nagoya on 22nd, RONNI traveled to Tokyo to have a guitar
lecture at the ESP Guitar Academy where makes the RONNI LE TEKRØ guitar model exclusively. There were
soooo many RONNI´s fans, guitar kids and journalists to be at his lecture. RONNI showed what the real
guitarist is, and he was very satisfied with the good reactions and the result.
- On 24th, they traveled fro Nagoya to Matsumoto-city in Nagano prefecture where the Winter Olympic Games was held in 1998. There
you´ll find the mountains, woods and plateau in the national parks around the city. They drived the car with RONNI´s old American
friend who lives there, and enjoyed the nature for a while.
- Matsumoto is a beautiful city, but is really local. There has been almost no concert by foreign rock artists before. RONNI and
TONY had visited the city for "FIREFLY" promotion before the tour as well. And it was really an exciting happening for the fans who
live there. TNT´s concert was unusually advertised on newspapers and TV very often. And everyone was happy about the situation!
- They experienced a real local train which is named "Azusa" travelling to Tokyo. It stops most of the main stations and goes
fairly slow. But might be the best way to see Japan. As soon as they arrived in Tokyo, they had a fan meeting at Shinjuku Tower
Records.
- Once upon a time, there was an usual entertainment place with a lot of TV games, electric horse-racing games, shooting games etc.
in a building next to the venue in Kawasaki. DAG STOKKE and the crews took a breat before sound-check and where they went was...as
you know. Yes, they tryed some modern
but crazy games there.
- A part of the band and the crews went out to Roppongi in Tokyo. Their accomondation had been always
in Roppongi everytime they visited Japan. Even if they had a hotel outside of the area, they took a cab
and came back to to familiar places there. Hard Rock Cafe Tokyo is also in Roppongi.
- TONY tryed to get a gargle and sliced turky. Japan is always a full of different foods and things, but only turkey was not
available in the season.
- TNT´s manager ALF WIGEN had a dream to get his new tatoo which must be artistic and little bit bigger than the old one. And he
made the dream come true in Tokyo. What he got on his back was a big black snake which is worth of a real partner of his happy life.
And one more party experience. His curiosity made him try "Print Club" which is super-popular in Japan.
- Form Tokyo to Osaka, they took an airplane to travel. In the evening, every tour member, crew and staff had a get-together for
the first time on this tour. They enjoyed talks and several night views in south part of the Osaka center. Of course, the first
visit was the Hard Rock Cafe Osaka.
- The band members without TONY went out for shopping before the concert in Osaka. Tall rock´n roll guys attracted attentions
from the innocent citizen around there. What they were interested, was especially Japanese chinas and stationaries. They got some
gifts for their families and something for themselves.
- After the show in Osaka, the band had a party at Hard Rock Cafe Osaka. Many fans who heard TONY shouted "party at HR Cafe!" at
the end of the concert, came to greet TNT. All of them ate and drank a lot until the cafe closed at midnight. And a party went on
and on. TONY and crews drank at a bar in Shinsaibashi. And others without MORTY and manager, had a private talk party at their
hotel until dawn.
- At the HR Cafe, RONNI and TONY protested against Madonna which was played quite often there. "We want rock!" was a slogan.
- On 30th, Norwegian part of the band left Japan in the early morning, and TONY did in the afternoon. In
the airplane travelling back to Norway was not full-booked, so the peaceful situation for other passengers was
probably kept. TONY travelled back to USA alone.
