Chapter Twenty Two....

Chapter Twenty Two

"Hello. May I speak to Emily or Megan please?" A very polite young man asked over the phone to Connie.

"Yes...one moment please." Connie said, pleased to hear someone still had common manners.

"Suck up." Emily said into the reciever to Zac.

"Whats that?" Zac asked, pretending to be offended.

"You heard me...acting polite."

"Oh yeah...whats the world coming to?"

"Anyhow...Ii called to tell you that we will be coming to Tennessee the day before camp...so we can meet your bogus friends." Zac said. He and Emily started conversation...and talked for about 20 minutes. When Megan woke up..her and Zac talked forever and day. Naturally...Zac dumped info about how Ike and Shelly's date went. Apparantly well...because now their an item.

"So what are we going to do today?"Emily asked Megan when she finnally hung up the phone.

"Movies and the mall. I'll call Sarah and Alli." Megan said, grabbing the portable phone. Emily agreed and got up to get a shower and get ready. Both her and Megan were ready to go in an hour. They met Sarah and Alli in the mall, outside of the cinimas. They got in line to get their tickets. They descided on seeing Austin Powers, The Spy Who Shagged Me.

"Ummm....get me a ticket, K?"Megan asked Emily, a little distracted.

"Um...uh-huh." Emily said, a bit confused. Megan walked off in the direction of a bunch of punkie-looking people. In that group, Emily noticed, was Robert. Sure enough he was standing there smoking a cigerette.

"Hey Robert...."Megan started talking, "What are you doing?" she asked, in a innocent and concerned voice.

"Let's go." Robert said, ignoring Megan. He threw his cigerette down by Megans shoe, and walked off hastily. Megan stood there, in shock, as he walked off. She was taking this quite personally.

"Hey. Come on. Just forget about it, OK?" Sarah said, trying to be sensitve, but firm. "It's not your fault...it's just the crowd he hangs with, OK?" she added comfortingly.

"Sure. Let's go watch the movie." Megan said, putting a fake grin in her face. I shouldn't have been so mean to him. If only....Megan started thinking as she walked into the theater to "enjoy" the movie.
