Author’s Note: After much thinking on it, I decided to write one final story for the Leo and Kendrix love series as you might call it. Special thanks goes to N’Sync for their song: “This I Promise You”. This story takes place almost two months after the episode “Triple Force”. I hope you like it.

Leo Corbett walked slowly towards the GSA building, he had a burning desire to ask her now, but decided not to, instead, he decided to save it for a surprise.

“Kendrix there’s something I need to tell you,” Leo said stopping and turning so that he faced her.

“What is it Leo?” Kendrix asked, she stared intently into his eyes.

“I wanted to tell you that I...” he was struggling for words now, he had been waiting all these months to tell her, but now his strength seemed to have left him, gathering the remaining courage he had, he said weakly: “I love you Kendrix Morgan, and I’ll never stop loving you.”

She stared at him for a minute in amazement, then with tears of joy streaming down her face and smiling, her voice just above a whisper, she said: “I love you too Leo Corbett, I always have, and I always will.”

Leo smiled. He patted his pocket to make sure the box was still there. He realized that waiting until later to pop the question to her was a good idea. As he finished debating this, Kai walked up to him. “Hey Leo,” Kai said, “On your way to ask her to lunch?”

Leo grinned and said: “I was, but decided not to, I had something better in mind.”

Kai chuckled, and said: “Guess the old saying is true, love is eternal.”

“You can say that again. But please don’t.”

Kai grinned then asked: “So what is the other thing you had in mind.”

Leo hesitated a second, then looking around to make sure no one was looking, he reached into his pocket, and pulled out the box, he opened it. Inside, sparkling with the rays of the sun, was a diamond ring.

Kai stared at it for a second then looked at Leo and said: “Are you serious? You’re really going to ask her?” Leo nodded. Kai stood there and said: “I guess Mike was right, it is your destiny to be together.”

Leo managed a weak smile and said: “I hope so.”

“You really love her don’t you?” Kai asked, “I mean I know you do, but you’re really up to settling down with her?”

“She’s what every guy could want. She’s smart, pretty, funny, easy to talk to,” Leo replied seriously, “What more could I want in my life, than a girl like that. I just hope she doesn’t say no.”

“Trust me, if she loves you as much as you love her, she won’t say no,” Kai said, “But just in case she does, I hope you kept the receipt!” He ducked just as Leo swung his hand up to smack him upside the head.

“So, have you thought about how you’re going to ask her?” Kai asked seriously.

“Not yet, I’m still trying to decide the right moment to ask her,” Leo replied, “I thought maybe we’d go for a jog, and see how it goes from their.

“Well just remember if you guys don’t go out tonight, it’s your turn to cook dinner.”

“I thought it was Damon’s?” Leo said in surprise.

Kai shook his head and said: “Nope, Mike cooked last night, and Damon and Alpha are working on the Megaship.”

Leo shook his head in disbelief, then said: “Damon’s not going to stop until she’s back up and running again is he?”

Kai shook his head and grinned, then he said: “You know Damon. The Megaship was like his baby. He loved working on it. He’s determined to put her back together from the parts he and Alpha were able to salvage.

“How far he’s gotten is anyone’s guess. But it will come in handy if we ever encounter the forces of evil again, and have to resume our duties as Power Rangers, we’ll have a base to operate from.”

“Hopefully, we’ve seen the last of Trakeena’s forces,” Leo replied with a serious look on his normally calm face. He looked down at the morpher he still wore on his wrist, and couldn’t help but feel as though he would be using it again soon.

Unknown to any of the Rangers, a strange glow had appeared in the depths of what remained of the Scorpion Stinger. Slowly, Deviot’s form appeared. He collapsed to the floor breathing heavily.

“The ship’s been destroyed, the Stingwingers destroyed, and with Trakeena’s destruction, I’m finally free, but my strength is almost gone,” Deviot snarled. As he was looking around, his eyes fell upon the cocoon. It looked as though it was still somewhat intact.

Slowly Deviot stood up and eyed it in hope. “I wonder,” he said as he made his way towards it, “If the cocoon will still work. Trakeena may have used it to become more powerful, but I’m sure there’s still plenty of power left in it to reenergize my powers, if not make me stronger!”

Without any further word, he stepped into the cocoon and slowly a bright light filled his vision. “Yessss, it’s working, ha ha ha ha,” Deviot laughed evilly.

Meanwhile, Kendrix Morgan sat at her lab table in the GSA’s R&D lab. As she sat there, she couldn’t help but turn and stare at the photo that sat at her right. It was a picture of Leo in his Hawaiian shirt and Khaki’s. Kai had snapped photos of the two of them a couple of weeks before at a picnic the group had gone on.

Kai had mentioned that Leo slept with Kendrix’s photo on the wall next to his bunk. The thought made Kendrix smile and think of that night on the beach when she had finally been able to tell Leo the truth about how she felt about him.

“Thinking about him?” said a voice behind her.

Startled, Kendrix whirled around to see Mike smiling. She let out a sigh of relief then said: “Mind not sneaking up on me like that? You scared me.”

“Sorry,” Mike said, “Just thought I’d see how you’re doing since we haven’t seen much of you up in command.”

Kendrix turned back to the experiment she had been working on, and said: “I’ve been a little busy.”

“Well hopefully Leo will be able to take you away from that tonight,” Mike said smiling.

Kendrix stopped what she was doing, to turn and give him a look of both amusement and question. “And what is that supposed to mean? Does Leo have something up his sleeve?”

Mike only smiled and shrugged. “Can’t say,” he replied, “Leo wants it to be a surprise, but I’m pretty sure you’ll like it.” Without another word, Mike turned and walked out of the room and left Kendrix to try and figure out what all of this meant.

On the Scorpion Stinger, Deviot stepped out of the cocoon, completely transformed. One hand was now more a tentacle, and his other hand and his feet had become claws. His laugh had grown less metallic, and sounded more infectious, and his face had taken on an insectoid appearance. “Now to set my plan in motion,” he hissed.

Raising his clawed hand, a beam of green light enveloped the ship and it began to reshape into a sort of massive hive, then it sank below the moon’s surface. Once it had settled, thousands of small bugs had appeared in the main room. Seeing them, Deviot sneered viciously. “Ah, my new army awaits. Arise my loyal subjects.”

With a flash of bright light, the bugs had become an army of thousands of Stingwingers. However unlike the original ones, these ones were mutated, instead of hands they now had huge claws, and their wings were more detailed, with a leathery texture. They all stood before him and bowed to him in respect.

Deviot laughed sadistically, then said: “It’s time I exacted my revenge on those annoying Power Rangers. I think I shall exact my revenge on the Red Ranger first, and take from him, what he values most. Stingwingers, go seek out the Pink Ranger, and bring her to me!” With that, a dozen Stingwingers vanished with a flash of light.

Looking towards the rest, Deviot said: “The rest of you, prepare the hive, let’s see what the Red Ranger will think of his precious Pink Ranger after she’s endured the trials of my prison!”

Meanwhile, that evening Leo and Kendrix stopped to catch their breath after jogging around the city dome. They had left word with the others where they were going. Kendrix noticed that Leo seemed oddly quiet. Her suspicions were aroused even more when their jog had led them to the old docking port where they first meet.

Kendrix looked around, then looked at Leo and said: “Leo, why are we here?”

Leo looked at her in her outfit and smiled. Kendrix had changed into a short-sleeve, pink running shirt and wind breaker pants after work and Leo had basically done the same with the exception of his red sleeveless shirt. As a cool breeze blew, he spoke softly and said: “Because this is where we first meet, and I want it to be here that I asked you.”

“Asked me what?” Kendrix said suddenly becoming worried.

Leo took her hands in his, and stared intently into her eyes, then said slowly: “Kendrix, you’re the first and only woman I’ve ever meet that I’ve felt close to, when I first meet you, something inside of me clicked, and for the first time, I felt a sort of completeness. Your smart, your funny, your caring, whenever you’re around, you make me feel alive when I’m with you. I can’t and don’t want to picture my life without you.”

Before Leo could say anymore, the Stingwingers appeared and attacked. Both Kendrix and Leo were kicked and sent flying into one of the benches. Painfully they pulled themselves to their feet. Raising their wrists with their morphers on them, they looked at each other and nodded.

“Go Galactic!” they shouted. In a flash, he and Kendrix had transformed into the Red and Pink Galaxy Rangers. Drawing their Quasar Sabers, they ran at the Stingwingers and began to battle it out.

Kendrix did a cartwheel flip and brought her saber’s blade across the chest of the first Sting winger that came at her. Then she did a half-spin and slashed the other Stingwingers around her. They collapsed on the ground in an array of sparks.

Meanwhile Leo too had his hands full with the Stingwingers, he was slowly picking off the bug creatures up to three at a time. He landed one with a roundhouse kick, before slashing it across the chest with the blade of his sword. He then nailed another with a wheel kick, smashing the heel of his foot into the side of its head; it too fell to the ground stunned.

Despite all their efforts, Leo and Kendrix were overmatched. In a matter of minutes both of them fell to the ground in a shower of sparks. Leo, who had taken a particularly hard blow, demorphed and lay there in pain, the Stingwingers pulled him painfully to his feet and pinned his arms behind his back.

Looking up Leo saw Kendrix too had demorphed and was being subdued. In a flash of light, they vanished. “Kendrix!” Leo shouted as he was dropped to the ground and his captors vanished in a flash of light.

Struggling, Kendrix was dragged into the throne room, and dropped painfully in front of the massive chair. Slowly Kendrix looked up, and fear fill her eyes at the site of Deviot sitting their looking down at her. “Nice to see you again Pink Ranger,” Deviot sneered evilly.

“Deviot? But how?” Kendrix asked in amazement.

“Such useless questions,” Deviot replied, “You are merely the one tool I need to bring the Red Ranger to his knees, and destroy him. His love for you is his greatest weakness, and it will prove to be his undoing.”

“You’ll never win Deviot.”

“Enough. Your courage is notable, but pointless,” Deviot snapped, “Now we shall see just how strong you really are, as you are force to face some of my more powerful creations in combat. Without your powers!”

Without another word, one of Stingwingers grabbed Kendrix’s morpher and ripped it off her wrist. It handed the device to Deviot, who only laughed evilly. Then he said: “Throw her in!”

Kendrix was dragged across the room and tossed into a caged-off area that resembled a sort of arena. Surrounded by over a dozen large and ugly looking bug creatures, most of them with antenna’s or tentacles.

“Great,” Kendrix thought, “I’m stuck fighting to the death in Deviot’s own version of Mortal Kombat.” Before she could say anymore, she was struck from behind and send flying towards the wall opposite her. She managed to stop herself, but her back was still stinging from the blow. She turned to see another creature coming at her.

As she saw it approaching however, Kendrix slowly started to remember what Leo and Kai had taught her. Before her attacker could land his blow, Kendrix dove forward and slammed her shoulder and opposite side into the floor, then bounced back to her feet.

Before her opponent could turn around, she delivered a back kick that send him flying into the wall. He collapsed and didn’t move. He was quickly picked up by a pair of Stingwingers who dragged him out of the arena in disgrace.

Before Kendrix could catch her breath a second challenger attacked. This time armed with a club, he swung it at her. Kendrix tried to block, but her opponent’s swing was too fast, and the club slammed into her ribs.

Crying out in pain, Kendrix fell to the ground. As she looked up, her opponent was getting ready to bring it down on her skull. Quickly she lashed out with one leg, and caught him behind the knees.

He crashed to the ground, then Kendrix slammed the heel of her foot down on his chest. He let out a howl of pain, and then tried to get back on his feet, only to be brought down by roundhouse to the solar plexus.

As she painfully put a hand to her ribs, she was attacked by not one, but two opponents this time. One grabbed her from behind and caught her in a half nelson, while the other charged at her.

Before he could attack though, Kendrix shot her arms up and slid down to the floor, she then slammed her elbow into his stomach, knocking the wind out of him, and sent him reeling back. Quickly she jumped to her feet and delivered a 360 back kick to her oncoming attacker.

He fell to the ground and lay there trying to catch the breath that he had lost. Kendrix turned and then quickly delivered a front snap kick to her other opponent who had retained his breath and was charging at her; he too fell to the ground defeated.

“Enough of this foolishness!” Deviot snarled, “You may be a strong fighter Pink Ranger, but even you cannot defeat all my warriors at once. Attack!” With that, all the creatures attacked at once. Kendrix being overmatched quickly fell from their blows.

Meanwhile Leo had contacted the others and they meet at the guys’ quarters. They had just finished listening to Leo’s account of what had happened. “You’re sure they were Sting wingers?” Karone asked seriously.

“Positive,” Leo replied, “But they were mutated somehow, they were stronger and faster than the ones we’ve faced before. Kendrix and I didn’t have much of a chance against them alone.” The memory caused Leo to slammed his fist on the console next to him in frustration.

“Easy cuz. You break it, I have to repair it,” Damon said.

“Don’t worry Leo. We’ll find her,” Maya said trying to calm him.

“Maya’s right Leo,” Kai said, “Kendrix is a strong woman. She can take care of herself.”

“Even still, we have to try to locate her,” Mike said seriously, “Damon, any luck with the sensors yet?”

“Nothing yet,” Damon replied, “I’ll keep trying though.”

“Well, there’s got to be something we can do,” Kai said, “Especially if this means that Trakeena’s forces are back.”

“How can that be?” Karone asked, “Maya and Kendrix told me you guys had destroyed Trakeena with the help of the Lightspeed Rangers on Earth, over a month ago.”

“We didn’t destroy her the first time, only wounded her,” Leo replied, “It’s possible that the second attempt we made to defeat her wasn’t successful as well.”

“Let’s hope not,” Damon replied, “The last thing I want to do is have to deal with her again.”

“Then who else could it be?” Mike asked, “It can’t be Captain Mutiny. He was destroyed already.”

Before anyone could say anything else, the alarm at one of the consoles went off. “What’s going on?” Leo asked above the noise.

“Scanners are detecting unknown life forms in the city dome,” replied Alpha, who was monitoring everything.

Without another word, all the Rangers accept for Mike and Karone, had left the room and morphed to the City Dome. “Good luck guys,” Mike said wishing a little bit that he was there with them.

Karone noticing the expression on his face placed a comforting hand on his shoulder and said: “We can still monitor their progress from here.” Mike nodded at this idea and they brought the fight up on one of the view screens.

Meanwhile at the battle site, an army of over four dozen Stingwingers greeted the Rangers. “Okay guys, let’s take these guys down,” Leo said drawing his saber.

“Right,” the others agreed drawing their own. Rushing forward, they began to duke it out with the oversized bug creatures.

Leo and Kai teamed up and started bringing the Stingwingers down with combination roundhouse kicks and back kicks. However as the number of Stingwingers they were fighting increased, they eventually were separated.

Leo managed to fight of most of his opponents, but was sent flying in a shower of sparks, from an unexpected sneak attack from two of the over grown insects. Struggling to his feet, Leo was struck down by another Sting winger that was standing in front of him. Instantly he was subdued by two others.

Damon and Maya meanwhile had their own hands full with their own batch of Stingwingers. Damon ran forward and brought down two of them with a scissors kick, only to get knocked back by a third bug creature.

Maya was trying to take down her opponents with front snap kicks, and back kicks, only to be knocked back in a shower of sparks by three of the creatures at once. Being knocked into a group of three. Kai, Damon and Maya watched as the Stingwingers regrouped, and prepared for a second wave. “Where’s Leo?” Maya asked looking around.

“There,” Kai said pointing. Leo was being dragged away struggling by three Sting Wingers.

“Leo,” Damon shouted, as he and the others rushed forward, only to be thrown to the ground by a blast from the swarm of Stingwingers in front of them. Sitting up painfully, they watched helplessly as Leo and the army of insects vanished in a flash of green light.

“Leo,” Kai said struggling, “It was a trap. They wanted him all along.”

Meanwhile, back at Deviot’s new lair, Leo was dragged demorphed into the throne room, and thrown to Deviot’s feet. “Welcome Red Ranger, to my humble new abode. I’d show you around the place, but since you won’t be living long enough to remember it, I fail to see the point,” Deviot sneered evilly.

Leo full of rage charged at Deviot, but was tackled and subdued by two of Deviot’s monsters. Pulled to his feet, Leo was kicked in the stomach and left struggling for his breath. “Such a fighting spirit, stronger than that of the Pink Ranger I’m sure, but in all, useless.”

“What have you done with her?” Leo said struggling to breath.

“Guards, take him to see his beloved Pink Ranger one last time. By dawn, you will fight my monsters in a tournament for your life.”

With that Leo was carried off by the Stingwingers, while another came forward and handed Deviot, Leo’s saber and morpher. “Excellent,” Deviot sneered, “Once those two are gone, I will have no trouble defeating the others.”

Leo’s wrists were shackled before he was tossed into the cell. He looked around, and his body froze as he caught site of Kendrix. She lay on a cloth in the corner, with her wrists shackled at her side and her eyes closed.

She had a large gash across her forehead, one eye was swollen, with a bruise under her other one, two gashes on her right arm, a smaller one on her left arm; her pink running shirt and her pants were torn in several places and Leo could see small gashes on her stomach and her legs.

“Kendrix!” Leo shouted.

Kendrix slowly opened her eyes, at the sight of Leo she struggled to her feet and tried to walk towards him, but her legs gave way and she started to fall forward, she would have hit the floor hard if Leo hadn’t caught her and cushioned her fall. Kendrix yelped in pain as she felt it in her ribs. “Leo,” she said quietly.

“What did they do to you?” Leo said anguish in his eyes at seeing the woman he loved in pain.

“I was forced to fight some of Deviot’s monsters, in some sort of arena,” she said weakly. She winced as she tried to take a deep breath. Tears began to form in her eyes as the pain slowly began to subside. She seemed to start to drift off.

“Kendrix,” Leo said, fear in his voice, “Stay with me.”

She opened her eyes slowly, and said: “I feel so tired Leo.”

“Hang on, the others will find us soon,” Leo replied.

Meanwhile back at the Guys’ quarters, Mike had just finished hearing what they had to say. For the first time, the former Magna Defender lost his cool and slammed his fist into the console next to him. “I should have gone with you guys.”

“There wouldn’t have been a thing you could’ve done,” Karone said softly, “You don’t have your powers anymore. You would have been wounded instantly.”

“Karone’s right Mike,” Kai said, “We have to rethink things. We have to find Leo and Kendrix, but to do that we have to figure out where they are.”

As they were speaking, Alpha suddenly stood up straight and said: “Aye yi yi yi yi, why didn’t I think of this before?”

“What is it Alpha?” Maya asked.

“We never thought of looking in the one obvious place,” Alpha replied, “The moon!”

“The moon?” Kai said, suddenly it dawned on him, “Of course, the Scorpion Stinger. That would be the most likely place for the Stingwingers to have taken Leo, and Kendrix as well.”

“Let’s go then,” Damon said heading for the door.

“Wait,” Mike said, “I’m coming too.

“Mike you can’t,” Karone said, putting a hand on his shoulder, “You wouldn’t stand a chance against the Sting Wingers, and whatever else might be in there.”

“Karone’s right Mike,” Kai said, “Don’t worry, we’ll bring them both back alive.”

“Be careful you guys,” Mike said as he watched them leave.

Meanwhile, in their cell, Leo watched slowly as Kendrix’s condition worsened. She had begun to shiver, and looked as though she was going into shock. “Kendrix,” Leo said slowly, “Stay with me.”

“I’m trying Leo.”

Leo looked at the weak smile she gave him. “You know, at least this time, I’m not afraid to talk to you.”

Kendrix couldn’t help but smile weakly as she remembered the day when she had been lying in the Medical room on the Megaship, after being wounded by Crayfish. “I remember. I also remember that night on the beach when you told me you loved me.”

At that memory, they both giggled, but then Kendrix winced and coughed hard, before settling back down with a pained and tired expression on her face. “Hang on,” Leo said, “The others will find us.”

“How do you know that?”

“Because they’ve never let us down before, remember? We’re a team, and we’ll always fight as a team,” Leo replied.

Just then one of the guards came to the door and opened it. Glaring at them, he said: “It’s time!” Two Sting Wingers came in baring a crude stretcher. “Lord Deviot felt that it would be more fun with your lady love here watching your defeat in the tournament.” With that, they were led out of the cell and down the hall, to the sound of shouts from the main room.

While all this was going on, the other Rangers had gathered on the surface and were looking around for the remains of the Scorpion Stinger. “You sure this is the right spot?” Kai asked.

“The salvage crews left it alone when they came up here,” Damon said, “It should be right here.”

Suddenly Kai’s communicator beeped. “Go ahead, “ he said.

“Guys, this is Mike, we’re detecting some sort of energy signature about ten kilometers below the surface you’re standing on.”

“Thanks Mike, we’re on it. Kai out.”

“Now what do we do?” Maya asked, “How are we going to get down their?”

“I could probably blast a hole with the missiles on my Jet Jammer,” Damon replied. With that he ran back to his craft and started it up. He flew to a safe altitude and then headed back towards them.

Moving to cover, Kai and Maya watched as he fired at the spot where they were. With a muffled whooshing sound, their appeared a fairly large hole. “Good job Damon,” Kai said as he and Maya boarded their own Jammers and with Damon, flew towards the hole.

In the throne room, Leo and Kendrix were greeted by thousands of Stingwingers, and dozens of monsters, all waiting in anticipation for the match to begin.

Deviot’s throne had been moved to one of the far walls and he sat watching as Leo and Kendrix were brought to him. The Stingwingers set Kendrix down sideways next to the main door of the fenced off arena so that she could watch all the action.

“Warrior’s, I present to you the Red and Pink Rangers. The Pink one has already felt your powers. Now the Red one has the honor of feeling it as well, only he shall not survive. Any last words before your final battle Red Ranger?” Deviot sneered.

“You have me Deviot,” Leo replied, “You don’t need Kendrix, if I win the tournament against your best fighter, you have to let her go, if I lose, then you’ll be rid of us both.”

“I’m almost moved Red Ranger,” Deviot snarled, “Very well then, you have a deal, if you defeat the challenger, I will let her go.”

Just before Leo was carried to the door of the arena, he leaned down and kissed Kendrix softly on the lips and said: “I love you.”

“I love you too,” she whispered through tear filled eyes. Stepping into the arena, Leo stood their and watched as the door was shut and locked.

“You’re going to love the opponent chosen for you Red Ranger,” Deviot said with a sadistic laugh, “It’s someone who’s been dying for a chance to defeat you once and for all.”

With a flash of green light, Crayfish appeared in the arena several feet from Leo. “Greetings Red Ranger,” he said evilly, “I’ve been waiting a long time for this moment.”

“Same here,” Leo said, an angry look appearing on his face as he dropped into a fighting stance.

“Begin,” Deviot shouted.

Quickly, Crayfish charged forward and lashed out at Leo with powerful kicks aimed at his head. Leo quickly blocked and delivered a roundhouse to Crayfish’s stomach, before slamming his fist into the monster’s head, and then flipping him over. Crayfish landed with a thud.

The other monsters booed and shouted and watched as Crayfish got back up and prepared to attack again. “That was good Red Ranger, but you’ll never win against my superior strength.”

“Are you here to brag, or to fight,” Leo snapped.

“Believe me, I’m here to fight,” Crayfish snarled as he lashed out and kicked Leo in the stomach, before slamming one arm into Leo’s back and then tossing him against one of the walls.

Kendrix watched helplessly as Leo fell to the floor. “Leo,” she whispered. Leo pulled himself up, and looked to see Kendrix’s eyes meet his with pain, fear, and sadness in them.

Out of the corner of his eye, Leo saw Crayfish charging towards him at high speed. Before Crayfish was able to slam into him, Leo rolled himself out of the way and snapped himself upright, just as Crayfish crashed into the wall.

Lashing out, Leo delivered a back kick to the monster’s side, and followed up with an ax-kick to his shoulder. Crayfish lashed out and grabbed Leo’s leg and flipped him backwards.

Leo did a back flip landing on his feet and delivered a wheel kick to the side of Crayfish’s head and sent him spinning and crashing to the floor. Leo walked forward to see if he was stunned.

Crayfish had been waiting for this move and lashed out and tripped Leo up. Leo fell to the ground and watch as Crayfish lifted Leo’s Quasar Saber and prepared for the final blow. “Ironic Red Ranger, that the very weapon that you use to protect yourself and others, will be the weapon that destroys you,” Crayfish said laughing.

“Not in this reality pal,” Leo said bringing his legs up and wrapping them around Crayfish’s head. Tightening his gut, and flexing the tendons’ in his legs, Leo threw Crayfish forward and sent him crashing to the floor. Bouncing to his feet, Leo used his foot to snap his saber up into the air and grabbed it.

As Crayfish rose to his feet, Leo looked at him, and said: “This is for Kendrix!” With that, he energized the saber and brought it across Crayfish’ s chest. In quick motion, Leo spun around and Crayfish fell to the ground behind him and vanished in a flash of light.

Turning and glaring at Deviot, Leo said: “I’ve defeated your monster Deviot, now honor your part of the deal, and let Kendrix go.”

“Foolish Red Ranger, you should know, that I never play by the rules,” Deviot sneered, with a wave of his hand the arena walls vanished in a flash of green light. Turning to the other monsters he said, “Destroy him!”

Before Deviot could say another word, he was knocked out of his chair by a flash of blue. Kai stood where Deviot had been and turned to Leo and shouted: “You okay?”

“I’m great, but Kendrix has been badly wounded. We need to get her to medical attention as soon as possible.”

“Something tells me your going to need this,” Kai said tossing Leo his morpher.

Catching it, Leo quickly snapped it onto his wrist and called out: “Go Galactic!” In a flash of Red, he transformed into the Red Galaxy Ranger. “Let’s get Kendrix and get out of here.”

“I second that notion cuz,” Damon said, as he and Maya appeared and started fighting a path through the stream of monsters in the room. Reaching Kendrix, Damon lifted her gently and with Maya guarding their back, they ran for the exit. Kai, who had grabbed Kendrix’s saber and morpher, and Leo joined them.

Enraged, Deviot rose and snarled, “Don’t just stand their you useless warriors, get them!” The monsters charged for the exit but unfortunately, too many of them went at one time and so a traffic jamb insued, leaving the monsters fighting over who was going to leave first.

“Why do I bother,” Deviot growled, “If you want it done right, you have to do it yourself!” With that he vanished in a flash of green light.

Outside the insect hive, the Rangers had reached their Jet Jammers. Leo suddenly stopped and turned to the others. “We’ve got a problem guys,” he said, “Once we leave the moon, we’ll be outside of Deviot’s energy field. Without her morphing abilities, Kendrix won’t be able to breath in space.”

“Leo’s right,” Damon said, “So what do we do?”

“Her morpher,” Leo said, taking it from Kai he fitted it to Kendrix’s wrist and pressed the activation button. In a flash of pink light, Kendrix was in her Ranger suit. “Let’s go,” Leo said as he placed Kendrix on the front of Damon’s Jammer.

Just as the others were about to hop in their Jammers, Deviot appeared. “Not so fast Rangers, we are not through with our little match,” he said with an evil laugh.

“They are,” Leo said indicating the others, “But we aren’t!” “You guys get Kendrix out of here, I’ll take care of Deviot.”

“Leo no,” Kai said, “We are all leaving here together.”

“I’ll be all right, now get Kendrix out of here.”

Kai hesitated, then turned to the others and said, “Let’s go.” Leaving his Jammer behind for Leo, he jumped on the back of Maya’s as they flew out of the crater and headed for the planet.

Turning back to Deviot, Leo said: “Let’s end this.”

“Agreed,” Deviot said, raising his arm, and firing a beam of energy at Leo. Leo, seeing the beam coming, jumped up and did a flying somersault over Deviot. As he flew over him, Leo drew his saber and brought it across Deviot’s back.

Deviot stumbled forward in an explosion of sparks. “I’ll give you credit Red Ranger, you make it almost difficult for me to destroy you,” Deviot sneered, “But fortunately, I’ve grown tired of these games, this battle ends now.”

With that he charged forward towards Leo firing energy blasts at random. Leo unable to dodge them all, soon fell to the ground. Instantly he was picked up by Deviot and thrown ten feet into the air, and then he came crashing to the ground with a sickening thud.

Deviot laughed evilly, as Leo struggled to his feet. Glaring at Deviot from inside his helmet, Leo lifted his saber and charged it with energy, then brought it down towards Deviot.

Before the blade could hit him, Deviot disappeared in a flash of light and reappeared behind Leo, with a swing of his clawed arm, Deviot slashed Leo in the back. “Now we are even,” he growled, as Leo collapsed in a shower of sparks.

“Not for long,” Leo snapped, with that, he jumped up and delivered a spinning back kick that sent Deviot flailing backwards. Not looking behind him, and losing his balance, Deviot fell backwards and tumbled into a crevice.

“You haven’t seen the last of me Red Ranger,” Deviot snarled as he plunged into darkness.

“Hopefully I have,” Leo said as he let out a sigh of relief. Turning, he headed for Kai’s Jet Jammer.

Kendrix opened her eyes as the sun shown through the windows of her hospital room. As she looked around the room, her eyes fell on Leo who was sitting in a chair next to her smiling that she was awake. “Hey there beautiful, how are you doing?” he asked.

Lifting herself up to a sitting position, Kendrix winced slightly and said, “A little sore, but I’ll live.”

Sitting on the side of the bed, and facing her, Leo said: “I’m glad. We all knew you’d make it.”

Kendrix smiled, then she looked at him and said: “Leo, just before we were attacked, I remember you saying you had something to ask me, what was it?”

Leo stared at her, then he said: “Kendrix, what I wanted to say was this, I love you, you’re the first and only girl I’ve ever felt deeply for, and when I saw you in that cell, I felt for the first time, that a part of me had been destroyed, until I saw that you were still alive, then that feeling grew deeper.

“What I’m trying to say is that I love you, and that I don’t want to live without you.” Reaching into his pocket, Leo pulled out the ring, and took Kendrix’s hand. Sliding it onto her finger, he looked at her and said: “Kendrix Morgan, will you marry me?”

Kendrix’s face seemed to glow and she began to cry, not tears of pain, anguish, or sadness, but this time tears of joy. Looking at Leo’s eager face, she whispered: “Yes. Yes Leo I will.”

Leo took her in his arms and held her tight, and then they shared a long passionate kiss, and they both knew then and there, where who their hearts belonged to. Each other.

Meanwhile, back on the moon, all the monsters had gathered together in the Throne Room, and were arguing over who would be the leader now. “With Deviot gone, I should be the leader,” said one insect.

“No, I should,” said another.

“I’m the strongest, I should be the leader,” said a third.

“Silence, all of you,” said a familiar voice. The insects watched, as in a flash of green light, Deviot appeared and collapsed onto his throne.

“Lord Deviot,” one the bug creatures shouted, “Are you all right?”

“No I am not all right you worthless excuse for overgrown cockroaches. The Red Ranger has once again escaped my wrath. But next time, he and all the other Rangers will face me, and when they do, they’ll all be destroyed.

“For now though, I must recuperate, and think up a new plan of attack. From the looks of things, I may have to wait as long as three weeks before I can exact my revenge on them for this pitiful victory.” With that he was carried to his chambers to rest.

One week later, the sun shown brightly over the park in the city dome, as a small wedding ceremony began.

Leo stood at the archway, sweating nervously in his tuxedo as waited as Commander Stanton’s daughter Jody, being the Flower Girl, walked down the aisle, then Mike who was his Best Man walked down the aisle with Maya the Maid of Honor, and Damon walked Karone down the aisle. The audience then rose as Kendrix, escorted by Kai, walked down the aisle in her wedding dress.

Leo felt as though his legs were about to give way beneath him at the site of Kendrix. Her elegant white dress made the her already joyous glow, grow brighter. And the smile she wore on her face showed both her nervousness and her happiness.

Handing her off to Leo, Kai acting like a big brother, joined Mike and Damon as they stood off to the side. Leo and Kendrix smiling and joining arms turn to the minister. Slowly as they stood their, a song began to play in the air that surrounded them.

“Since the beginning of time, there have been fewer occasions in life, then the joining of a man and a woman in the bonds of marriage,” the minister said, “We stand here today as witnesses to Leo’s and Kendrix’s joining here as a statement of the their love for one another. Before we continue, they both have decided to share their own vows.”

“The rings,” the minister said. Mike handed Leo the one ring, while Maya handed Kendrix the other. “Leo place the ring on her finger and repeat after me, with this ring, I thee wed.”

“With this ring I thee wed,” Leo said as he slipped the ring onto Kendrix’s finger.

“Kendrix place the ring on his finger and repeat after me, with this ring, I thee wed.”

“With this ring I thee wed,” Kendrix said as she slipped the ring onto Leo’s finger.

“If anyone here feels any reason why these two young people should not be wed, speak now, or forever hold your peace.” And a second’s wait he continued. “Then by the power invest in my by God, I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride.”

Leo took Kendrix in his arms and they shared a long passionate kiss. They broke apart a minute later and turned to the audience. “Ladies and gentlemen I present to you for the first time, Leo and Kendrix Corbett.”

The audience cheered and applauded. And stepping down from the alter, Leo and Kendrix, followed by Mike and Maya, and then Damon and Karone, and then Kai and Hannah, who had been his date, walked slowly down the aisle smiling.

As the sun shown brightly in the sky, both Leo and Kendrix knew that whatever adventures or challenges they encounter from then on, they would face together.

Next time on Power Rangers: Leo and Kendrix return from their honeymoon to find a fully recovered Deviot preparing to attack with an all new monster. Meanwhile, with Karone’s help, Mike discovers that the Magna Defender’s work is not finished.

And finally the Rangers learn that a new friend and ally from Earth is on his way to join them on Mirinoi. The adventures continue as Power Rangers continues on in Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy-Mirinoi Adventures.
