They got a man on a wire

They got a rock 'n' roll band
That's getting quite a hand
And everybody saids they're the rage
They do a marvelous feat
They play a psychodelic beat
Would you believe that they're working in a cage
I said the word's going around
That there's a circus in town

They got a tent true blue with a sugar cue
That's really suppose to catch your eye
They got some other tricks
A cop performs with sticks
All they had are the hostile kind
They got a million clowns
With their hair way down
And all the people laugh as they walk by
If you go a Monday
You can see a junkie
Tuesday is my day
And they do a funky broadway
Wednesday is kinda quite
So they have a teenage riot
Thursday is a cutie
They got a topless nudie
Firday is kinda heavy
So they increase the levy
And Saturday I understand
Is a great big traffic jam
Now I have been told the day that is best
It falls upon the day of rest
They even have a choir sing
I mean if you like that sort of thing
Yes the word's going around
That there's a circus in town
