This is all the old stuff that I have written. Someday, perhaps, I will organize it by month. Not today.

OK, every team that I pick loses. So I will not say my new pick out loud. It is hidden somewhere on this site for future reference. I am in a pissy mood and could rant and rave all morning. Instead I will go out for a walk and get some fresh air. It may not be snowing but at least it feels like winter. Inside and out.

Well I had to work on Sunday so I did not actually witness the Giants lack of offense. I do not want to talk about it anymore. Period.
I suppose I should root for another NFC team but I'm thinking I'd rather see the Patriots win again. At least the Superbowl is nearby this year so we can join in the festivities all weekend. I'd love to get my hands on a pair of tickets. Who wouldn't?
In other news, I just watched Cradle of Life again and I'm so sorry that Terry chose Pandora's Box over Lara's. Men. Easily distracted by shiny things.
Still no snow and I'm thinking winter is just going to pass us by this year. Fucking global warming. Ruins all the fun.
Hope your day goes well.

Happy New Year people. It is for me anyways. My honey got a better job, I got a promotion to MT (which is manager trainee which is basically assistant manager), the Giants are in the play-offs and I won some $$$ in my Fantasy Football league. I beat 5 guys and not one called to say congratulations. Imagine that!
I've made a few additions and revisions to my recommended entertainment so check that out. I've added some things to avoid as well. There's no reason for you to suffer, too.
A special hello to my faraway friend T-Joint, always a fountain of info about the stuff I love.
Wishing for snow instead of rain. It is January, correct? I look outside and see mud and gunk instead of glistening whiteness. Yuck. Not fun for Axl either. He loves jumping in, laying on, digging in and eating snow. Don't we all!
Need coffee now. Bye.

Take a moment to remember and be thankful you live in Canada and if you live elsewhere I hope your life is as easy as ours is.
BIG NEWS in football...the Giants kick ass. Honestly, everyone knew they would beat the 49ers (sorry honey) but I am just so proud of them that I have to reiterate the facts. The Vikings have no chance this week (or ever, really). No chance. Is anyone else thinking Eli vs Peyton in the Superbowl? And it's right across the river from me. I may have mentioned this but if anyone has 2 tix to spare, email me.
Musical news...Nightwish is moving up on the favourites. I cannot get enough of "Wish I had an Angel". "10th Man Down" is second fave so far. I wish there was a video for 'Angel' without the clips of the movie it was used for. I can live without Tara Reid fouling my vision. Glasses do NOT make her look intelligent. Try a dye job or a brain transplant.
Local news...It's getting nice and chilly outside; great for dog walking. I am eagarly (eagerly??)awaiting the first snowfall but I may have a while yet. I'll be sure to let you know when it comes. Don't forget your pets... my dog can handle the cold, in fact he loves it, but can yours? Cats? Indoors, please and thank you.
For Jen and Steve, I hope Zoe is feeling better.
For Heather and Craig, thanks for watching Ozzy and Alice for us
And once more for Eli, I was wrong. I rarely am but I am woman enough to admit it. Forgive?
Peace.

Holy shit...the Giants did it again. With style and drama. Eli, I beg your forgiveness but I don't deserve it.
So, I've been thinking about Star Wars. I finally thought of something that I would change. Think about this: Padme is a fighter. She was an elected leader of a PLANET. She's a strong woman. I refuse to believe that she just lost the will to live. Mother's don't just give up when they have children to take care of. And Padme has 2 newborns and a husband that has turned to the dark side. Her kids might need her in the near future. How does she know for certain that they will be taken care of? She doesn't.
I can accept the fact that she had to die but she should have been killed. In battle. In a confrontation with Palpatine. In a fiery collision on her way to find Anakin and attempt to reason with him (futile or not, she would never give up in my version). But just losing the will to live does not work for me.
That being said, I still love the whole saga. Maybe I will do a fanfic style new ending. Just to satisfy myself.
Don't forget, HALLOWEEN is coming up. get some good candy and give extra to the kids that dress up like zombies, vampires, monsters or anything bloody. Boo.

Yesterday started off great. I watched Sin City and loved it. Intensely. I cannot over-emphasize the importance of the Internet Movie Database (see my links). I also saw Dear Frankie, a quiet little movie featuring Gerard Butler...I love movies from Scotland, Ireland, England and Australia. The lifestyle seems so much more relaxed and the people so easygoing.
It's not like that here. This is why the middle of the day sucked...I am so tired of customer service phone numbers. How many times do I have to explain my story? Why do you refuse to give me your extension? I won't call you just to chat. I won't give it out to my friends. I just want to talk to the same person when I call regarding the same situation. I am polite and honest. And when I ask for a supervisor, I mean it. NOW.
The evening was better...going to work and hanging pants is relatively stress free.
Animal update...Panther has been relocated to the in-laws farm. I may have to send the two remaining strays there as well. I feel torn...I know they will be happy there (warm barn, mice, playmates) but I also know they won't get as much human attention, if any. I need some sort of funding to keep taking in animals. Seriously. My vet gave me a discount when I brought the last one in because he felt sorry for me. I appreciate that immensely. Anybody else have pity opn me? I accept paypal.
Time to go. Take care.

Ok, I'll admit it...Eli is impressive. I apologize to him for calling him a baby. I have his SPX Rookie card and I almost sold it on ebay. Sorry again, Eli. And haha to all you people that took Gonzales in your fanrasy drafts! Shockey is kicking ass. The Giants are the highest scoring team so far. Amazing.
Now, for an animal update: I found another stray kitten. And, yes, I took her in. She had fleas so I had to take her to the vet for a flea bath. All better now. She is very sweet and her name is Princess Penelope. I'll post a pic as soon as I get batteries for my camera. People that know me say that I have too many cats...I say that I have to many irresponsible neighbours. So there.
Take care of yourselves and your pets.
Later.

Fantasy football is awesome. Even when people in your draft are morons. My honey and I are in several leagues, each with our own team. It makes for interesting private bets between the 2 of us. If anyone takes the time to look around this site they would be able to tell that I am female. I don't think I need to prove it, especially to people that mean nothing to me. So, in the immortal words of Eric Cartman..." Screw you guys, I'm goin' home."
More important news: Please give to the Red Cross. Anything you can afford to donate; clothes, toys, food, toiletries, money, time. Imagine how your life would be if everything you had was gone. Just gone. It's horrible. No one desrves that. Please help and bug your friends to chip in as well.
My Giants looked really good on Sunday. Feels great to win, doesn't it?! 42 points! Holy shit. Refresh my memory, did they score 42 points in all of last season combined? I hope Eli can earn his keep all season. I was not impressed when we drafted/traded for him. Too much of Eric Lindros in him. He has to be practically perfect for me to forgive him. On the upside, Tiki is on a couple of my Fantasy teams, as well as Shockey. So far so good. Keep it up, guys.
Bye. Come again! Things are different every week or so. Hey, sign my guestbook while you're here...it's right here on this page...you can't miss it.

May the Force be with you.
