Thanks for the really good question. Is it wrong to read horoscopes? Before we can answer that, we need to look into what are horoscopes, where it comes from and what relations if any does it have. So let us go ahead and look into it.
The word Horoscope comes from the Greek word 'horoscopos' which means: "I watch the rising" which is the ascending sign or point in the zodiac that is rising over the horizon at the time the horoscope is drawn. Horoscope and Horoscopes are a form of astrology (not to be confused with astronomy). It involves a theoretical and superstitious map of the heavens, and it focuses on the position indicated on the map at the time of a person's birth. There are 12 houses or signs of the astrological map, which is called the zodiac. Each sign has a "Lord" or false god, designated as its ruling deity who is an animal form which is supposed to give the worshiper special qualities, temperament, tendencies, fortunes, successes or failures. It is used to refer to sun signs or star signs. An Astrologer interprets the positions of the planets and their relationship to the 12 astrological signs of the Zodiac and from this, they are supposedly able to predict future events, globally or personally.
Now, Astrology has been around in one form or another for a very long time. From Egypt came a collection of texts on magic, healing, and astrology attributed to Hermes Tismegistus, the Greek equivalent to Thoth, the Egyptian god of learning. The Greeks then went on to develop a complex scientific method of astrology which is used today.
So what is Astrology? Well, Astrology is a form of Divination, which is a form of occultism. Both are misleading, false, and anti-Christian.
Divination exists in many forms today, in crystal gazing, palmistry, fortune telling, and astrology. It is a counterfeit religion of foreseeing and forecasting future events or obtaining wisdom or secret knowledge through communication with false gods, omens, oracles, signs, portents and movement of planets and celestial bodies. The modern astrology of today began in Mesopotamia and Sumeria, where the supposed celestial bodies and their relationship with crop planting were observed.
Astrology is that kind of divination which is based on the supposition that the movements of celestial bodies influence human affairs and determine the course of lives and events, and even the destiny of empires. It is related to Moon worship and Sun worship and is a false religion.
Now from these reason alone, I think it's safe to sat that God would not have us be involved in any way with such activity. This form of fortune/future telling is no different than Tarot cards, Psychic/soothsayers, ouji boards, etc... God's Word is very clear on these kind of activities..

Well, I could go on and on with scriptures concerning this matter, but, I think you get the idea.
I realize there are silly horoscopes where the people don't really use any methods of astrology. However, can you and I or anyone else take that chance? Besides, Those fake ones could lead people into acquiring about the real thing. Furthermore, If I were going to hold a pretend satanic ceremony, would you or most people attend? Of course not... Because although it is pretend, you would realize it's playing with fire and could lead into more. Something that extreme seems obvious but there isn't really any difference.. Satanism comes in many packages.. We can put it into a pretty box with a bright yellow bow on it but it doesn't change what it is.. It's still Satanism. Keep in mind.. Satan knows, not everyone is going to go for a straightforward Satanic Occult. That is why He disguise Himself in so many ways.. He will even work within supposed Christian churches.
