The Main RP Rules for SWRP
Angelic Rules YOU MUST READ THESE RULES
 ======================================================================
Turn Based Role Play Combat
 On Alts
If you're a Jedi, you're allowed one Independent Alt and no Sith alts.
If you're a Sith, you're allowed one Independent Alt and no Jedi alts.
If you're Independent non-aligned, you can have one jedi or one sith alt.
If you're a member of a separatist organization (vong, CorSec, Mastermind)
you can have no Jedi or sith alts, and one independant alt.
This should prevent PC alting amongst Jedi and sith players, it should also
prevent everyone from knowing each other's plans.

The combatants take turns posting a move. Each move is made as if
happening in turn, unlike the fleet battles when the moves are slated to
happen at the same time, just posted in order. So if the combat were
happening for real, the fighters are posting exactly what they would
do, in reaction to the other. You must post prep turns for even normal
weapons. Ranged weapons (blasters etc...) must be aimed, melee
weapons (Lightsabers etc...) must be ignited or drawn. If you attack
without prepping, your attack is ignored. An attack or defense must have
at least 5 words. Any less and your moves ignored. It is in your best
interest however, to post many more, so that you don't leave yourself
open, by not being detailed enough. So if you need 80 words to get your
attack across, I suggest using it, better safe than dead.  All OOC comments
must be made with brackets (by typing [] before your
statement), unless stated that the character is OOC.
During a fight, any IC comments, made when your turn is pending forfeits your
turn and your enemy may post your damage. IE:
Fighter A: Slashes down at Fighter B swiftly with his saber using his
body
weight behind the blow and ending up in a crouch.
Fighter B: Yes of course I love you, you are my wife.
Fighter A: Slices off Fighter B's left arm with his strike.
What happened here, is that Fighter B made an IC comment, with his reaction
to an attack still pending. What he should have done is react, then talk to his
wife. So in this case Fighter A's move was not an auto (Auto: Illegal Move -
You determining another characters outcome illegally.), and totally legal. Here is
what should have happened:

Fighter A: Slashes down at Fighter B swiftly with his saber using
his body weight behind the blow and ending up in a crouch.
Fighter B: See's the blow coming and quickly moves out of the way,
ducking dow and rolling to the left. Then, standing up at the end
of the roll, he/sheslashes with his own blade at Fighter A's neck
in a slide motion.Fighter B: Yes of course I love you, you are my wife.
Fighter A: Grunts with effort as he stands up taking the blow on his
shin armor.
Now this exchange brings up another great point. To be able to use armor, it
must either be posted before the battle starts, in your entrance, or on a
page/profile of your character, otherwise it's not legal. We will come back to
this fight later.
It is your job to know what the opposing species can and cannot do, not the
judges. If you are fighting and a rancor uses a lightsaber, the judge will not
say anything. It is your duty to call foul in your thought bubbles. If you react
to it, its legal; weather or not it is physical legal. Here is an example with
the same fighters as before, Fighter A is a human wearing Mandalore armor, and
Fighter B is a Mon Calamari. IE:
Fighter B: Fires a disruptor rifle at the chest of Fighter A.
Fighter A: Laughs slightly as his thick chest armor absorbs the
disruptor bolt.
Fighter B: Fires again slightly higher this time aiming for his neck
Ok in this instance, Fighter A got away with it. Fighter B reacted and moved on.
When he should have said something to the Judge. If you don't know, a disruptor
is an extremely powerful weapon and would have incinerated the armor and bearer
of that armor. The Judge should know this, but is not to say anything, unless
asked by a fighter. This is what should have happened....
Fighter B: Fires a disruptor rifle at the chest of Fighter A.
Fighter A: Laughs slightly as his thick chest armor absorbs the
 disruptor bolt.
Fighter B:  [Armor can not take a disruptor bolt. I need a ruling]
Judge: [You are dead Fighter A. A disruptor is too powerful for you to
take a blast and live]
At this point the Fighter A has to take the death, or appeal to the GM. Do not
be afraid to question all possibilities, but at the same, do not get out of
hand. You are expected to know a majority of what is and is not physically
capable, or legal. You are, after all, a fighter.
The death will be legal after it is posted on the Death Forum. However, you may
be resurrected, if a Jedi master or sit lord sees fit to do so. Additionally,
force spirits can be formed if there's is a significant attachment to his life
(wife, husband, child). Deaths can be confirmed by transcript or witnesses. If
witnesses are used there must be 2 witnesses that agree, and none that disagree.
There always must be two (2) more that agree than disagree for the kill to be
legal. Also you may contact Council Members to watch your fight and rule on it.
You may argue the death, but it must be a legitimate argument. If you tamper
with any transcripts, there will be no ruling on the death, and the character
will be no longer allowed in SWRP, unless you start again from scratch as a
padawan or apprentice.
You, the receiver of it, take damage. Again, please be logical in this area. If
you lose a limb, or take damage to any part of you while fighting, continue to
act as if it would have a long lasting effect. Do not go on with the fight as if
it didn't affect you at all.
Prepping
Force power must be prepped, especially lethal ones. I.e.:
Fighter A: hurls force lightning at Fighter B
Fighter B: is struck by the lightning and stunned.
This is illegal. Non-lethal force lightning must have one post of prepping
before the actual attach for it to be even considered in combat. Letha force
lightning must be four posts or more for it to be considered in combat. One line
force lightning is illegal. The prepping rule goes for force pushes as well. The
distance in feet is equal to the number of prep posts performed. The only
exception to these rules is Jedi Masters, Sith Lords, and certain Celestials who
require half the posts to perform attacks that everyone else can.

Mind Tricks, Telepathic invasion, cloaking devices
Mind Tricks are based on this scale (D10)
1-2: nothing
3-4: notice of something off
5-6: partial success, Disorientation
7-8: partial success, illusions, disorientation, increased suggestion
9-10: successful
Telepathic Invasion (D10)
1-2: blocked
3-4: partial penetration
5-6: surface thoughts
7-8: memories
9-10: total invasion
These values are to be divided by 2 when up against Celestials, Dragons,
and Force Masters.
Cloaking Devices (D6)
1-2: failure
3-4: partial invisibility, hard to target, force attack miss.
5-6: full cloak, no attacks hit
When a person cloaks they must de cloak to attack or use force powers.
Same deal with force voids.
