To choose a poem is to choose a rose
Do you pick the bud?
With the promise that it will open
And you can discover its beauty
Do you choose the open rose?
Already the beauty is visible
But it dies quickly
Do you choose the partially open one?
If so… will it open to a beautiful rose
Red and ripe?
Or will it wilt and collapse?
Which do you choose?
Beautiful now, possible beauty,
Or the unknown?
Which is more appealing?
