Potassium Nitrate and Sugar
One of the most common rocket fuels found with the home pyrotechnic is this propellent which doubles as a smoke mixture. It’s a good homemade propellent because it’s basically non toxic, cheap and effective. The mixture will absorb water from the air which will greatly reduce its effectiveness of the fuel. Often this composition is melted which can be done but there is the risk of accidental ignition. Rockets can be rammed safely.
