Here is the final product of the self portrait project for my independent photography study class. The basis for the photo was a vampiric character from a creating writing short story i had written earlier in the year. I was particularly proud of the shadowing effect across the face, which was my primary objective. My teacher, on the other hand, focused on the hands. The face and body look youthful yet the hands look worn with age, symbolizing the traditional agelessness of Vampires. To be quite honest it wasn’t intentional but if anyone asks I just tell them I planned it that way.
