Nicole was still spinning around in the meeting room chair when Jennifer came up the elevator to check on her. "Nicole, what are you doing? You have really lost your mind!". Nicole stopped the chair from spinning and was facing Jennifer with the biggest smile on her face. "No Jen, I haven't lost my mind.....at least not yet anyway!". "Nicole, are you ok? You are smiling. The meeting went good? You got to talk to Kevin!". "Jen, the meeting was more than good. It was great. And, I did more than just talk to Kevin!". "Girl, please tell me you didn't grab his ass?" "Jen, please! This was just our first meeting. Maybe I'll grab his ass on our second meeting!" Nicole just starts to smile again, giggles and starts spinning in the chair again. Jennifer can't take anymore and goes to the chair to stop it from spinning. "Nicole, what has happened to you? I was expecting your nerves to be shot after this meeting and when you didn't come back down with the others, I started to worry". "Jen, I'm fine - I'm more than fine - I'M WONDERFUL!". Jennifer is just in shock - Nicole was always a worry wart after meetings - she was never this happy and carefree after one. "Nicole, you're freaking me out. Tell me, tell me damn it - what happened?" "Jen, I'll tell you what happened. Kevin is wonderful, simply wonderful and he loves my ideas. And........I'm meeting him tonight at 7:00 at his hotel for dinner!!!!" Nicole starts to giggle and spins again in the chair.
Jennifer starts to grin - "No shit?! Oh my gad! How did it happen? No, it doesn't matter. Girl, what are you still doing here? Go get ready!". Nicole then stops the chair from spinning and is facing Jennifer again with a now worried look on her face. "Oh shit Jen! What the hell I'm I going to wear!" "There's my Nicole! What do you have? You only have 3 hours!". "Jen, I can't go home, it will take too long with this Atlanta afternoon traffic. Oh, hell. Now what?". "I've got it Nicole. Come with me!". Jennifer grabs Nicole by the hand and leads her off towards the elevator. They stop by their offices, grabbing their purses and work and head out the door.
"Where are you taking me Jen. I don't have time for games right now." " Nicole, have I ever let you down?" "No, but..." "So trust me, ok?" They cross the street and enter the mall. "See Nicole, so convenient. The Mall. Now we can find you something to wear and still be on time to see Kevin.". "Jen, I'll never find anything in time. This place is the biggest Mall in Georgia! How the hell am I going to get ready?". "Nicole, will you PLEASE shut up and trust me?". Jennifer leads Nicole to Saks Fifth Avenue. "Jen, you are crazy. I will never find anything I can afford in here." "Nicole, you're too damn cheap. You've got the money so let it go. This is KEVIN we are talking about. Not some local yocal, redneck bubba looking asshole! This is the FIRST DATE. You've got to do it up right.". "Jen, I'm feeling sick!". "That's just your nerves. Where is your nerve medicine at?" "In my purse." "Take some Nicole. Take some of it now. That way it will be working by the time you meet Kevin." Nicole looks in her purse for medicine while Jennifer starts looking at the dresses. "Nicole, we need to get you something sexy yet not too revealing, but it has to catch his eye and keep his attention." "How about I just throw up all over him - that will get his attention!". "Fuck Nicole, take your pills and come over here and look at these dresses!". Jennifer had picked out a few dresses for Nicole to try on. She knew that Nicole was too nervous to pick them out on her own, and she wanted this to be perfect for Nicole - after all, Kevin was her dream man!
"Nicole, take these in the dressing room, try them on put let me see them." Nicole tries on each dress and lets Jennifer see them. After about 30 minutes of trying on dresses, Jennifer was getting worried that maybe they won't find anything in time. Nicole came out with the last dress on. A short, just above the knee, black sheer dress with a sheer lace overlay - sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves. "Jennifer, I think this is the one". Jennifer looks and is amazed! "Nicole, I think you are right! It is perfect! Now, hurry up and change back to your clothes. We've got to finish this outfit." Nicole comes out with the dress, feeling much better and starts to think of what Kevin might wear and hoping he likes the dress.
Jennifer is heading toward the shoes and motions to Nicole to hurry up. They find the perfect little black shoes, purse and black rhinestone Victorian necklace and earrings. "We need to make sure your necklace just accents your outfit. We want Kevin to look at your eyes and not your necklace". "I'd rather he look at my boobs." Nicole said softly. "Nicole, what did you say? Girl, I see the medicine has kicked in!". Now, just one other place and we are done. Jennifer leads Nicole to "Victoria's Secret". "Jen, what are you up to?". "Nicole, you have to have on something sexy underneath. He won't know it but you will and it will make you feel sexy and Kevin will see that much! All we need is a little lace bra and some thong underwear - all black. Oh, and the most important thing - thigh high panty hose! Kevin will be able to feel the top of them if he starts to rub your leg!" Jennifer just starts to giggle. "Jen, please. I'm nervous enough without thinking of what I want Kevin to do to me!". "Come on Nicole, lets hurry up!" They pick out the lace bra, thong and thigh highs and head back across the street to the office.
Nicole and Jennifer race back up to the 20th floor, grab their "girly" stash of hairspray, makeup, deodorant and perfume out of their desks and run to the bathroom. With all the shopping, there time had dwindled and it is now 6:00. Nicole has to be in the lobby of the Four Seasons, 4 blocks way in one hour, in after work traffic.
"Come on Nicole, shake your tail feathers. You don't have much time!". "I'm going as fast as I can Jen. I'm starting to sweat." "Her Nicole, use this." Jennifer hands Nicole a wet paper towel to cool herself off. "Nicole, you have to calm down, but hurry up! What is taking you so long?". "Damn Jen. You tell me to calm down and hurry up all in one breath. I'm doing the best I can. I'm so fucking nervous!". "Nicole?" "What now Jen?" "Don't say 'fuck' in front of Kevin tonight..... unless you want him to do that to you!". "Jen, please! I haven't had sex in over a year! Don't get me horny!". They both just laugh. "Ok, Jen, I'm coming out." Nicole comes out of one of the stalls and turns around for Jennifer. "Damn girl! Kevin is just going to die when he sees you!". "Does the lace bra and thong underwear make you feel sexy Nicole?" "Yea, a little, but I feel like I have a shoe string up my butt. I hope the thongs stays together." "Make sure Kevin feels your butt. He won't feel the lines and he will know you have on a thong!". "Damn Jen, I told you to stop that! Don't make me horny!". "Come over her Nicole so we can freshen up your hair and makeup. I'll drive you to the hotel.".
Jennifer took Nicole's brown shoulder length hair and put some of it up on her head leaving a few pieces all around - sophisticated but in a messy, sexy way. "If we get your neck exposed, then Kevin can kiss it!" "Jen!....." "I know, stop it, I'm making you horny!" Nicole touched up her makeup and sprayed on some perfume. She was ready to go, she thinks! "Jen." "Yea, Nicole". "I'm scared". "Of course you are. Who wouldn't be. Just be yourself. He is human too. Just let the evening flow on its own. Don't expect anything. This is a night you have dreamed about. Just have a good time. And try to have a VERY good time, if you know what I mean!". "Jen, pleaseeeeee stop!" Jennifer starts to laugh, "Ok Nicole, it is 6:45. Let me get you to your 'man'!".
Nicole and Jennifer head towards Jennifer's car. "Jen, how am I going to get home? My car is here and you are taking me?" "Nicole, catch a cab from the hotel and come back up here. If you get drunk, call me. I'll come and get you. Or......call me in the morning after you and Kevin wake up!" Nicole lightly hits Jennifer in the arm and they both laugh. They get to the car and head down the street towards the Four Season Hotel. Nicole is rubbing her hands together because of her nerves. "Stop that Nicole. You can't go in the hotel with sweaty red hands. Close your eyes and start taking deep breaths". Nicole starts to breathe deeper and calms herself down. "Ok, Nicole, here we are." Nicole has this terrified look on her face. "Nicole, it will be good. It will all be ok. Remember, just be yourself and Kevin will love you for it, ok?". "Thanks Jen for all you have done this afternoon. I love you like a sister." The girls hug and Nicole gets out of the car.
Nicole waves goodbye to Jen as she pulls off. It is 6:55. This will give her 5 minutes to get her composure. She goes inside and waits on a sofa closest to the restaurant. The lobby is busy but calm. Nicole keeps looking at the clock in the lobby. "Will he really show up? Will he like me? I think I'm overdressed. I hope I don't trip in these heels. I hope my thong doesn't break." Nicole was looking down at her dress and looked up to check the time on the clock when she noticed Kevin coming off the elevator. She stood up. He looked amazing. Black jeans, blue silk shirt, cowboy boots. He made that outfit look better than any tux. He saw her and he immediately started to smile. Nicole could feel her smile getting bigger the closer he approached. Nicole could only see Kevin walking in slow motion but that was ok. She wanted to savor the moment.
"Good afternoon Nicole" Kevin then grabbed Nicole's hand and kissed her on the cheek. Nicole was ready to faint but thank goodness her knees had locked themselves together. "You look wonderful!" "Thank you Kevin. You look great as well!". "Thank you. Are you hungry? This restaurant has the best Italian food in the city. I hope you like Italian." "Yes, I love it." "Shall we?" Kevin reaches around and puts his hand on Nicole's waist to escort her to the entrance of the restaurant. Nicole felt like she was living in a dream land but she wasn't. She was with Kevin and it was real and the night had just begun.
