Welcome to the new James Rae & son website. We are a small building firm based in Eaglesfield, a village near Lockerbie.  The business has been in existence for over 100 years in and around the towns and villages surrounding Eaglesfield.  James Rae & son was formed at the turn of the 20th century by my grandfather James Rae, he then handed the business over to my father George Rae and it has again moved into James Rae's Hands when I took over in the 1980's.  In the last few years we have continued to grow constructing new bungalows, extensions and various other works, and have carried out various other projects at Culcreuch Castle hotel at Fintry.  Our main interests are renovations and constructing new dwellings, we carry out the operations from actually draughting the drawings, making building warrant and planning applications, gathering costing's together and constructing the finished article.
