JABBA THE HUTT

I love the Hasbro action figures, and I have them displayed all over my room, but they've never made a Jabba the Hutt from Return of the Jedi. The only one they've really ever made is the Special Edition one, but he doesn't seem to look quite right next to Yakface or Bib Fortuna. Since the Episode I Jabba Glob Jabba looked a lot like him in ROTJ, and I happened to find one on sale for 2 or 3 bucks, I decided to go ahead and get one, figuring I could just use him as he was and throw away the "glob" that came with him. Last summer I was doing some painting with acrylics, so I figured I'd get creative and make Jabba look a little more realistic. After I finished painting him, I put a layer of clear finish on him. It was supposed to be non-gloss, but it ended up making him kind of shiny-looking. Well, Jabba is kind of a slimy fellow anyway...

Here's my Jabba repaint, displayed in the Jabba's palace diorama.

Here is a comparison between the two Hutts. The original is on the left, and my repained one is on the right.
