Government Christian

Oh for the days and return of George W. Bush, reminding us all of our beloved but deceased wit Johnny Carson (but without the dress-up-like-a-woman skits, bikini broads, and sexual inuendos).

At least he was better than the sophisticated slick-talking twerp we now have at the top, evidenced by what "W" did to antisemitically anti-Christian Saddam. What has the Hawaiian-born(?) done about bin Laden?

With all due respect to the by-slight-majority-elected king, let's not be too hard on him. AssPress recently stated on Yahoo news that his Approval Rating had jumped from 50% to a mere 56%. Whoopie.

It's understandable. Silver Tongue wants to (but doesn't know if he wants to, says Satan's mediaheads) increase troop strength in Afghanistan - a group of fearful rural islamics who simply love the disruptive shootings and bombing from invasive GIs wanting to drain their desert swamp so that very-modestly-dressed Taliban and especially Al Qaeda Trade-Tower-demonishing-thug alligators don't return from their hideouts in Pakistan to Afghanistan havens of desert heat. Keep in mind that American taxpayers pay for those pricey and spendy flurries of machine-gun bullets, tanks, and explosives decimating those naughty sand-dune huts over there. Of course, U.S. generals want more and more money for their so-special toys.

Another obvious cause of Blackie's rising popularity is unemployment now reaching nearly 10%, plus a trillion-dollars-or-so added "stimulus" debt from bailing out bank loaners to peasants who now can incur even more debt leading to foreclosures and bankruptcies.

As demoncrats haggle over details of Pelosi-pushed imminent passage of an anti-Medicare boondoggle health-insurance bill which most people really do not need and which would further force peasants to borrow even more money to get into even greater debt, they provide funding for wind turbines which frequently slow down because of variable winds and funding for solar cells on cloudy days.

With democrats in charge of both houses of Congress, and a democrat President, you would expect more positive and real action....at least some WPA ('We Poke Along') projects giving at least minimum wage to the masses.

Now no one can now blame the Republicans, because they don't even have enough guys to filibuster. Blaming Republicans for the past history of casualties in and effects of the War of 1812 and Spanish-American war simply is not called for anymore....and it's about time that they move on away from their accusatory mantras.

It would behoove democrats in charge to let Republicans become a majority in 2010 so that they have someone to blame for The Coming Catastrophe and Collapse.

Too bad they and their patsy national media (Keith and Rachel and even Chris of MSNBC, King of CNN, demoncrat-goofbag talkshow host Ed, etc.) don't blame Reid and especially Pelosi (who got in charge in 2006) for the Wall-Street crash and far-reaching consequences. Blame Bush for not using his Veto Pen more, nor issuing Executive Orders countering Reid and Pelosi, Dodd and Frank, TFK and Levin, et. al. ad nauseum? It's the voters, stupid.

Well, if the Republicans take over both houses of Congress in 2010, at least Pelosi will (thank God!) finally go back to Pervert City California and the Hogtied pornies therein.

Not only that, Hannity's anointed one will have the aces and the trump cards ready with his diabolical Veto Pen and Executive Orders, short-circuiting any improvements the Republicans might want and try to legislate. He might even concoct a National Emergency requiring Marshall Law, a Constitutional Convention giving himself new unlimited powers and justifying foreign-born(?) credentials, or head the UN and EU after subjugating America with binding international treaties. And who knows who his next racist-and-sexist Sotomayor will be as he brown-noses the feminist chauvenists, homoqueers, and abortion choicers mislabeling themselves as fringe-lunatic proponents of murderous "reproductive" (overpopulation?) "freedom."

Speaking of impending economic disaster, why can't we have more and better heavyweight coins without serial numbers, instead of all those pretty-designs counterfeit-proof lightweight fiat-paper money? I would like to see new U.S. coins of whatever metallic composition in denominations of $5, $10, $20, and even $50. We can't even find silver dollars around anymore.

Politics aside, let's delve into more fundamental matters.

Have you ever seen a bumper sticker on a police squad car stating: "Jesus Saves" or seen in a United States courtroom: "Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, and forever?"

Should we see that?

How about a cop car bumper sticker reading: "Glory be to Allah" and/or a banner in a U.S. courtroom declaring: "Praise be to Buddha," "Satan be Honored," "Pray to the Virgin," "Confucius Rules," "Sieg Heil der Fuehrer," and so on?

When a law-enforcement officer or a public judge becomes a law-enforcement official or a lawyer becomes a municipal or district or appeals or supereme court judge, he does not give up nor trash his personal lawful denominational religious beliefs and practices. He is at liberty and quite free to publicize and promote those lawful beliefs and practices 24/7 - but is also under obligation to respect and accomodate any and all lawful rights pertaining to those publicizing and promoting other equally-lawful-and-allowed (not not necessarily "permitted" or licensed) religious beliefs and practices of those they govern. Simply proselitizing their lawful particular religious beliefs and practices while on duty without forcing others to do exactly the same, nor implying that they are forcing nor will force others to do exactly the same, is NOT unconstitutional.

Consider the noble integration and not rightly-understood "separation of church in state" (but instead proper apportionment) exhibited by our American founding fathers, and a myriad host of Americans in both military and civilian situations since then, along with those up to and including those presently.

Strong and sometimes violent confrontation and debate can and does occur as to what "lawful" can and should mean. Public opinion and media opinion comes into play, military equipment and personnel is even more influential, but the intervention and regulation of the Almighty is the ultimate determiner of what is "lawful" and "legal" - examples of which abound not only in the totality of the Sacred-66 books of The HOLY BIBLE but even throughout our own non-rewritten American history.

Both the reader and this webpage author recall the six-pointed badge stars worn by sheriffs during the 1800s and even 1900s. That six-pointed star is a replica of the Star of David, and clearly relates to Judeo-Christian (i.e. Old-and-New-Testament) law and its sundry applications in our own country. Also consider that the early public-school textbooks of public school students were the [KJV-type] Bibles, upon which America was built upon, succeeded and flourished, and become the traditional bedrock for all sorts of inventive and innovative advances, techologically and otherwise.

As off-duty or retired individuals, cops and judge and legislators and politicians have personal constitutional rights to interpret the religion clauses of the First Amendment as they choose with a greater latitude than they legitimately display when operating and functioning as officials of the government. Jesus put it this way:

"Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to God what belongs to God.

He did not say: "Give up whatever used to belong to God to Caesar. From now on eternally give up all allegiance to God, and give that allegiance hereafter only to Caesar."

When a politician proclaims that, if elected, he would (not necessarily "will") interpret (but not re-word) the First Amendment religion clauses as:

"Congress shall not respect establishment of cultically anti-Christian religion, nor prohibit the free exercise of genuine Biblical Christian religion"

In electoral response, a majority of voters can either vote for for vote against him....and the majority will get their way - although when he then becomes a United States Government official, he will not only legislate or adjudicate according to that denominational religious premise he stated above when campaigning, but also legislate or adjudicate according to the present legal statutes of United States Government which have been established for lawful and orderly wellbeing of all citizens.

Recall the dialogue of Roman government official Pontius Pilate with Jesus before Christ's crucifixion as an example of how a typical government official handles religious issues:

Matt 27:11 Now Jesus stood before the governor; and the governor asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Jesus said, "You have said so."

Luke 23:3 And Pilate asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" And he answered him, "You have said so."

John 18:33 Pilate entered the praetorium again and called Jesus, and said to him, "Are you the King of the Jews?"
John 18:34 Jesus answered, "Do you say this of your own accord, or did others say it to you about me?"
John 18:35 Pilate answered, "Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have handed you over to me; what have you done?"
John 18:36 Jesus answered, "My kingship is not of this world; if my kingship were of this world, my servants would fight, that I might not be handed over to the Jews; but my kingship is not from the world."
John 18:37 Pilate said to him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Every one who is of the truth hears my voice."
John 18:38 Pilate said to him, "What is truth?" After he had said this, he went out to the Jews again, and told them, "I find no crime in him.
John 18:37 Pilate said to him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Every one who is of the truth hears my voice."

John 19:12 Upon this Pilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, "If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend; every one who "makes himself" a king sets himself against Caesar [or Adolf Hitler, or the british-allowed "Palestinians," or United Nations Security Council, etc.]."

Also, Saint Paul's dialogue with Roman government officials is informative:

Acts 18:9 And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, "Do not be afraid, but speak and do not be silent;
Acts 18:10 for I am with you, and no man shall attack you to harm you; for I have many people in this city."
Acts 18:11 And he stayed a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
Acts 18:12 But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews made a united attack upon Paul and brought him before the tribunal,
Acts 18:13 saying, "This man is persuading men to worship God contrary to the law."
Acts 18:14 But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, "If it were a matter of wrongdoing or vicious crime, I should have reason to bear with you, O Jews;
Acts 18:15 but since it is a matter of questions about words and names and your own law, see to it yourselves; I refuse to be a judge of these things."
Acts 18:16 And he drove them from the tribunal.

Acts 18:24 Now a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent man, well versed in the scriptures.
Acts 18:25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he knew only the baptism of John.
Acts 18:26 He began to speak boldly in the synagogue; but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him and expounded to him the way of God more accurately.
Acts 18:27 And when he wished to cross to Achaia, the brethren encouraged him, and wrote to the disciples to receive him. When he arrived, he greatly helped those who through grace had believed,
Acts 18:28 for he powerfully confuted the Jews in public, showing by the scriptures that the Christ was Jesus.

Acts 19:13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to pronounce the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches."
Acts 19:14 Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this.
Acts 19:15 But the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?"
Acts 19:16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, mastered all of them, and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
Acts 19:17 And this became known to all residents of Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks; and fear fell upon them all; and the name of the Lord Jesus was extolled.

Acts 21:27 When the seven days were almost completed, the Jews from Asia [ACLU-types], who had seen him in the temple, stirred up all the crowd, and laid hands on him,
Acts 21:28 crying out, "Men of Israel, help! This is the man who is teaching men everywhere against the people and the law and this place; moreover he also brought Greeks into the temple, and he has defiled this holy place."
Acts 21:29 For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian with him in the city, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple.
Acts 21:30 Then all the city was aroused, and the people ran together; they seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple, and at once the gates were shut.
Acts 21:31 And as they were trying to kill him, word came to the tribune of the cohort that all Jerusalem was in confusion.
Acts 21:32 He at once took soldiers and centurions, and ran down to them; and when they saw the tribune and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.
Acts 21:33 Then the tribune came up and arrested him, and ordered him to be bound with two chains. He inquired who he was and what he had done.
Acts 21:34 Some in the crowd shouted one thing, some another; and as he could not learn the facts because of the uproar, he ordered him to be brought into the barracks.
Acts 21:35 And when he came to the steps, he was actually carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the crowd;
Acts 21:36 for the mob of the people followed, crying, "Away with him!"
Acts 21:37 As Paul was about to be brought into the barracks, he said to the tribune, "May I say something to you?" And he said, "Do you know Greek?
Acts 21:38 Are you not the Egyptian [terrorist], then, who recently stirred up a revolt and led the four thousand men of the Assassins out into the wilderness?"
Acts 21:39 Paul replied, "I am a Jew, from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city; I beg you, let me speak to the people."

Acts 22:22 Up to this word they listened to him; then they lifted up their voices and said, "Away with such a fellow from the earth! For he ought not to live."
Acts 22:23 And as they cried out and waved their garments and threw dust into the air,
Acts 22:24 the tribune commanded him to be brought into the barracks, and ordered him to be examined by scourging, to find out why they shouted thus against him.
Acts 22:25 But when they had tied him up with the thongs, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by, "Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman citizen, and uncondemned?"
Acts 22:26 When the centurion heard that, he went to the tribune and said to him, "What are you about to do? For this man is a Roman citizen."
Acts 22:27 So the tribune came and said to him, "Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?" And he said, "Yes."
Acts 22:28 The tribune answered, "I bought this citizenship for a large sum." Paul said, "But I was born a citizen."
Acts 22:29 So those who were about to examine him withdrew from him instantly; and the tribune also was afraid, for he realized that Paul was a Roman citizen and that he had bound him.
Acts 22:30 But on the morrow, desiring to know the real reason why the Jews accused him, he unbound him, and commanded the chief priests and all the council to meet, and he brought Paul down and set him before them.

Acts 23:17 And Paul called one of the centurions and said, "Take this young man to the tribune; for he has something to tell him."
Acts 23:18 So he took him and brought him to the tribune and said, "Paul the prisoner called me and asked me to bring this young man to you, as he has something to say to you."
Acts 23:19 The tribune took him by the hand, and going aside asked him privately, "What is it that you have to tell me?"
Acts 23:20 And he said, "The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though they were going to inquire somewhat more closely about him.
Acts 23:21 But do not yield to them; for more than forty of their men lie in ambush for him, having bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink till they have killed him; and now they are ready, waiting for the promise from you."
Acts 23:22 So the tribune dismissed the young man, charging him, "Tell no one that you have informed me of this."
Acts 23:23 Then he called two of the centurions and said, "At the third hour of the night get ready two hundred soldiers with seventy horsemen and two hundred spearmen to go as far as Caesarea.
Acts 23:24 Also provide mounts for Paul to ride, and bring him safely to Felix the governor."
Acts 23:25 And he wrote a letter to this effect:
Acts 23:26 "Claudius Lysias to his Excellency the governor Felix, greeting.
Acts 23:27 This man was seized by the Jews, and was about to be killed by them, when I came upon them with the soldiers and rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman citizen.
Acts 23:28 And desiring to know the charge on which they accused him, I brought him down to their council.
Acts 23:29 I found that he was accused about questions of their law, but charged with nothing deserving death or imprisonment.
Acts 23:30 And when it was disclosed to me that there would be a plot against the man, I sent him to you at once, ordering his accusers also to state before you what they have against him."
Acts 23:31 So the soldiers, according to their instructions, took Paul and brought him by night to Antipatris.
Acts 23:32 And on the morrow they returned to the barracks, leaving the horsemen to go on with him.
Acts 23:33 When they came to Caesarea and delivered the letter to the governor, they presented Paul also before him.
Acts 23:34 On reading the letter, he asked to what province he belonged. When he learned that he was from Cilicia
Acts 23:35 he said, "I will hear you when your accusers arrive." And he commanded him to be guarded in Herod's praetorium.

Acts 24:18 As I was doing this, they found me purified in the temple, without any crowd or tumult. But some Jews from Asia--
Acts 24:19 they ought to be here before you and to make an accusation, if they have anything against me.
Acts 24:20 Or else let these men themselves say what wrongdoing they found when I stood before the council,
Acts 24:21 except this one thing which I cried out while standing among them, 'With respect to the resurrection of the dead I am on trial before you this day.'"
Acts 24:22 But Felix, having a rather accurate knowledge of the Way, put them off, saying, "When Lysias the tribune comes down, I will decide your case."
Acts 24:23 Then he gave orders to the centurion that he should be kept in custody but should have some liberty, and that none of his friends should be prevented from attending to his needs.
Acts 24:24 After some days Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess; and he sent for Paul and heard him speak upon faith in Christ Jesus.
Acts 24:25 And as he argued about justice and self-control and future judgment, Felix was alarmed and said, "Go away for the present; when I have an opportunity I will summon you."
Acts 24:26 At the same time he hoped that money would be given him by Paul. So he sent for him often and conversed with him.
Acts 24:27 But when two years had elapsed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus; and desiring to do the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul in prison.

Acts 25:13 Now when some days had passed, Agrippa the king and Bernice arrived at Caesarea to welcome Festus.
Acts 25:14 And as they stayed there many days, Festus laid Paul's case before the king, saying, "There is a man left prisoner by Felix;
Acts 25:15 and when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews gave information about him, asking for sentence against him.
Acts 25:16 I answered them that it was not the custom of the Romans to give up any one before the accused met the accusers face to face, and had opportunity to make his defense concerning the charge laid against him.
Acts 25:17 When therefore they came together here, I made no delay, but on the next day took my seat on the tribunal and ordered the man to be brought in.
Acts 25:18 When the accusers stood up, they brought no charge in his case of such evils as I supposed;
Acts 25:19 but they had certain points of dispute with him about their own superstition and about one Jesus, who was dead, but whom Paul asserted to be alive.
Acts 25:20 Being at a loss how to investigate these questions, I asked whether he wished to go to Jerusalem and be tried there regarding them.
Acts 25:21 But when Paul had appealed to be kept in custody for the decision of the emperor, I commanded him to be held until I could send him to Caesar."
Acts 25:22 And Agrippa said to Festus, "I should like to hear the man myself." "Tomorrow," said he, "you shall hear him."
Acts 25:23 So on the morrow Agrippa and Bernice came with great pomp, and they entered the audience hall with the military tribunes and the prominent men of the city. Then by command of Festus Paul was brought in.
Acts 25:24 And Festus said, "King Agrippa and all who are present with us, you see this man about whom the whole Jewish people petitioned me, both at Jerusalem and here, shouting that he ought not to live any longer.
Acts 25:25 But I found that he had done nothing deserving death; and as he himself appealed to the emperor, I decided to send him.
Acts 25:26 But I have nothing definite to write to my lord about him. Therefore I have brought him before you, and, especially before you, King Agrippa, that, after we have examined him, I may have something to write.
Acts 25:27 For it seems to me unreasonable, in sending a prisoner, not to indicate the charges against him."

Acts 26:22 To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass:
Acts 26:23 that the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to the people and to the Gentiles."
Acts 26:24 And as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, "Paul, you are mad; your great learning is turning you mad."
Acts 26:25 But Paul said, "I am not mad, most excellent Festus, but I am speaking the sober truth. Acts 26:26 For the king knows about these things, and to him I speak freely; for I am persuaded that none of these things has escaped his notice, for this was not done in a corner.
Acts 26:27 King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe."
Acts 26:28 And Agrippa said to Paul, "In a short time you think to make me a Christian!"
Acts 26:29 And Paul said, "Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am--except for these chains."
Acts 26:30 Then the king rose, and the governor and Bernice and those who were sitting with them;
Acts 26:31 and when they had withdrawn, they said to one another, "This man is doing nothing to deserve death or imprisonment."
Acts 26:32 And Agrippa said to Festus, "This man could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar."
