Electric Cars

In view of the all-battery now-available-to-buy electric cars pictured below - and the gasoline prices at over $2.50/gallon (at the time of this writing) - legislation needs to promptly and immediately be made, enacted, and enforced to designate certain roads and highways for electric cars to operate on (and/or operate on at certain times of the day and night).....without causing a public safety hazard concerning faster fuel-powered vehicles nearby.

Such apportionment could also consist of lanes marked and barracaded for only electric autos, with accomodation for their exit and entry ramp access.

The situation is similar to roadside restrictions allowed for horse-driven amish carriages and buggys in various parts of the country.

Being that the electric vehicles illustrated have a maximum speed of approximately 25 mph (somewhat faster than high-speed golf carts), such should be registered and licensed and insured comparable to requirements for golf carts.
