It has been said that an individual person or group of them cannot simply be against an entity and disfavorable characteristics thereof, but have to also be for a different or new entity reflecting favored characteristics which were missing in the discarded entity.
But frequently, in the process of doing the opposition against the church-catholic disowned entity along with its fatal flaws and reactionarily replacing that with a Church Christian (see Acts 11:26 stating: "...in Antioch the disciples were for the first time called Christians" - not 'catholics') substitute, the opposition individual persons or group of them does not go far enough, soon enough, concerning what is in the process of being rejected.
Case in point are the newly-forming increasingly-membered seemingly-anti-ELCA protest groups such as CORE, Word Alone, and LCMC as backlash against the pro-homosexual majority decision of the Churchwide Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America held in Minneapolis during August of 2009.
The aforementioned protest groups miserably fall short of clearly defining: "The Bible," and which translations of it to use, as they angrily and fearfully flounder among themselves - mired and bogged down with oil-does-not-mix-with-water futile attempts at big-tent inclusionary acceptance and use of the RSV and NRSV (along with the NKJV and KJV and even the John Wesley New-Testament Bibles)......but with the TEV and NIV type bibles for needless textual pollution.
Not only that, but there is little indication that upcoming formations of a new unified charter, constitution, and by-laws of the so-far separate and non-merged groups mentioned will actually quote the Scriptures that were specifically applicable to why such protest groups claimed disassociation away from the ELCA.
And the disassociation away from the ELCA's majority of pseudo-Lutheran heretics (NOT "liberals") seems somewhat of a facade, not only because the ELCA was the umbrella under which some of the protest groups were part of all along, but because all the protest groups welcome those congregants and congregations and churches yet official members of the ELCA who want to continue to be such, or are merely thinking of joining other and additional Lutheran or whatever groups besides continuing with association with the ELCA.
In any wartime situation, there are good soldiers grouped together as an obviously-good coherent unit, but there are also good-soldier spies who have infiltrated the enemy for secret and undercover surveillance and intelligence and demolition duties. That was the way it was during World War II, for example. And so it now is with the Christ-oriented, Bible-centered, genuine-Lutheran-church saints (e.g. CORE, Word Alone, and LCMC) in mortal battle and escape against the Satan-oriented, pagan-culture-centered, pseudo-"Lutheran"-church heretics (miscalled: "liberals"). As it was not possible for Luther to overpower the organizational machine and structure of the corrupt cultic pope and cardinal cohorts of his time, and it was not possible for Jews to overpower Nazism's Hitler and Himmler and Goebels and Goering from within Germany, and it is not possible to overpower the horrible hierachy of Obama/Pelosi/Reid along with similarly-tyrannous pro-feminist-sexist, pro-homogay-choice, pro-abortion-choice, racist-racial-quota, congressmen and women plus their vicious-activist OBAMA-08-bumper-stickered fanatics within the democrat party......so victory against the bad guys must from come from the outside - and reside there:

Two final points.
One of the serious heresies of the ELCA - which is ordaining women to lead men in churches as senior pastors - has not even be addressed whatsoever by any of the protest groups. In fact, the present President of the Word Alone or CORE protest group is a woman, and the moderators and chief publicity agents of Word Alone are women. Some of the CORE steering committee for planning and organization are women clergy.
When this webauthor recently attended a Word Alone conference at a Roseville MN Lutheran church, that female President of Word Alone was bellering out to males in the audience with her weird video blasting away, and the night ended with a church service hosted by a woman reverend, as yours truly quietly got up and walked out.
The ancient verses of both Old and New Testament still apply, and ultimate doom is on the horizon for women-led pseudo-christian pseudo-Lutheran protest groups and the persons espousing such, in view of:

Such Scripture is quite pertinent and contemporary -- no matter the myriad doctrine-of-demons irrationalizations which religious heretics come up with against current and direct application of those verses, whether those include (but are not limited to) misinterpretative word-twistings, miscontextual inferences, biased and bigoted opposite-side-of-the-coin Scriptural quotations, citing allegedly-outmoded culture change and deviation excues, etc.
And I won't even begin to discuss complete absence of any Scripturally-based discussion attempting to correct rampant warm-weather mopheaded, sleeveslessly-naked-armed, slackslessly-nude-legged, and soxlessly-open-toed rife and reeking immodesty of particularly female lutheran churchgoers, ignoring the admonitions of First Timothy 2:8-15.
Much emphasis has been given among and by both Lutherans and lutherans (i.e. Lutheran Christians and lutheran apostates) touting "The Gospel" and (lamentably): "The Gospel" ALONE.
That is absolutely deplorable and diabolically destructive against the true Body of Christ.
It is related to an across-the-board carte blanche pseudo-forgiveness for everyone.....no matter who they are, what they have done, what they plan to do, how long it will last, and for what purpose such diverse tolerance is indiscriminately bestowed.
"Sin" is never defined by: "The Gospel" - which fact homoperverts and their pansy pussies take full advantage of. Consequently, the "love-only-and-never-hate" defiling liturgy of permissiveness and promiscuity prevails with:
John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Hey, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

2Cor 5:19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
Col 2:13 And you, who were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses
1John 2:2 and he is the expiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

Is "The Gospel" simply a jewish declaration that "God is one," which vital trifle even the demons confess:
James 2:19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe--and shudder.
Or is "The Gospel" also additional mantra-mouthings of: "Jesus is Lord" or: "Jesus is the Savior of the world?" That of course would tie in rather nicely with:
Matt 7:21 "Not every one who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Matt 7:22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?'
Luke 6:46 "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you?
Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you (even if you're impenitently warm-weather immodest, impenitently sexist feminist, and/or impenitently homogay homosexual?) will be saved.

So "The Gospel" in a nutshell is the good news that Jesus Christ, our bloodied sacrificed paschal lamb and redemptive atoner, who let Himself be murdered over in the Middle East around 2000 years ago, completely canceled the entire penalty of all our sins by being hung up on a cross, and thus is our mandatory-option insurance-policy-like Divine Ticket enabling us to enter Heaven someday.....with or without our pathetically-fallible belief, frequently-unreliable faith, and relentlessly-defective good works.
And, again, WHO does that apply to? Everyone? With whatever attitude? Under any conditions? For how long? For what purpose?
Is "The Gospel" so-called "unconditional love" according to:
Matt 6:15 but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Authentic Lutherans follow the real and actual Martin Luther's (not the plagiaristic and racist negroid agitator "dr" "Martin Luther" King's) tradition of professing law and gospel.....NOT gospel alone. The Law (as contained within the entire and not prejudically-segmented Sacred 66 Books of the complete Bible) is given to convict sinners of their particular specified sins as defined by Scripture - and then proclaim gospel to those convicted....but ONLY to the penitent who genuinely and permanently repent of their specified sins.
