Rena Haus has been playing music for over thirty years. Born into a creative family, she started playing the guitar at the age of 11 and took up the banjo at the age of 14. An accomplished vocalist, Rena writes and performs her own material at many locations throughout the state. From 1983 to 1998, Rena lived and worked in Phoenix , AZ where she served for 4 years as a roster artist on the Arizona Commission for the Arts; traveling to schools and communities throughout the state, presenting a history of American popular music and conducting residencies and workshops in music and art. Her original music has been featured in radio, television and film scores, and she’s opened concerts for dozens of national artists. Rena offers lessons in acoustic finger style guitar, 5 string banjo, and vocals from beginner to intermediate level.
