The Withered Aegis continues to rise in power, its undead hordes holding the frontier lands in a deathlike grip and threatening all the races of Istaria. But the living refuse to go quietly into this darkness and wage war against the undead. New alliances have sprung out of this conflict, such as the alliance a splinter group of Helians have made with a group of the naka-duskael. They would allow their hatchlings to be nurtured and taught by the non-draconic races, forging a life-long bond between dragon and rider. Once joined they would become a team, using their inherent abilities to become a fearsome force against the undead horde. And thus this weyr was created to house these Dragonriders of Istaria..
