It fits directly into the transmission with no modifications.
The new gear is 3/16" wide. The same as the one in the Bruiser. At this width the gear is readily available.
The adaptor is a two piece press fit and welded brass assembly.
The same brass that most of the transmission gears are made of.
There are several advantages to using this kit.
The parts are of industry standard size. Which means they are all easy to get.
Because the Hilux transmission case was designed for a common 540 or 550 can size motor now you can try different motors.
The 8 tooth pinion is a set screw type. The pinion needs to be installed on the shaft with the set screw away from the motor.
