Around Thanksgiving 1998, Heather and Charles met in a chat room. Heather was arguing with some moron who kept insisting that books were stupid. Now, for reasons unknown to him, Charles entered the literature room. Upon entering, he spied the name Venice_1972 and was intrigued. He waited. Read the argument Venice was having. A few minutes later, he PMed Venice. When the PM came on her screen, she accepted anent's request to chat. So…Venice and anent chatted for a while, but Venice was still involved with the argument. Luckily, anent stuck around while Venice did what she had to do. Anent asked Venice to email him so they could get to know each other better. Venice, up for the challenge, agreed. After a couple months of email, Heather decided to mail Charles a real letter. That was step one. The next step was the 4-hour phone conversation in January. At the end of February, once the two were already in love, Charles braved a snowstorm to visit Heather in Weldon, North Carolina. After meeting face-to-face, the couple decided to keep the relationship alive. Now they are happily engaged and long to see each other at the alter! Eat your heart out Oprah! Here's a success story.
