What is the Security (or CVV2) Code?

The CVV2 code (card verification code) is a
3 digit number found at the end of the
signature block onthe back of your credit
card. Sometimes it is preceded by part or all
of the credit card number.

CVV2 is an added security feature on all major
credit cards. The CVV2 is used for verification
and validation when one's card is not present,
such as ordering goods and services via the
internet, overthe phone or by mail. The CVV2
code is a numberuniquely connected to your
personal credit card.
