Where I Was Born - Wellsboro, Pennsylvania

I was born in this wonderful town.
It holds a lot of beautiful sights and history.
This picture of this house has quite
a history behind it. Although historians fail
to recognize it our family knows the significance.
This house was the first courthouse built
in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. It was purchased by my Great
Grandfather, Charles and it was moved to a nice
spot on Main Street where it still stands.
After my Great Grandfather died, my Grandfather finished
paying it off and he and my Grandmother lived
there until his death. She sold it to her sister
in law and it did remain in the family.
The first 6 years of my life was spent
living in this house.

This is a picture of the current courthouse in the
middle of Wellsboro.

One famous landmark in Wellsboro is "The Wellsboro Diner".
Here are two pictures.

One of the few towns in the world, the gas lanterns
are still used on the boulevard all through
town.

Both my father and my mother used
to work in the famous "Penn Wells Hotel" located
in the center of town.

This is the fountain in the middle of
town. I have always loved this fountain.

The scenery on my background is the famous
"Pennsylvania Grand Canyon". It is certainly
a sight to see.
