Biography of Foxy Brown

 

Real name Inga Marchand born 6th September 1979 in Brooklyn New York. Foxy Brown’s child hood was unique because she was brought up with another big name in the rap business Lil Kim. When Foxy Brown was 15 years old she won a talent contest, which launched her career. Foxy Brown was invited to "Track Masters" as a reward for winning the talent contest. Here she sang over LL Cool J’s "I Shot Ya", which was an instant hit. In March 1996, Def Jam Recording's signed Foxy Brown. Foxy immediately went into the recording studio and recorded "Il Na Na" her first album, which was entered in the America Billboard charts at number 7. Foxy Brown then made her success even greater, when she recorded her second album "Chyna Doll" in 1999, which did not sell great in sales.

Then the year 2000 became Foxy Brown's downfall. She went on a two year slope, as she got embroiled in drink driving, fights and depression it is only now in 2002 that she is back on track with the release of "Broken Silence". This album is by far the best album Foxy Brown has ever released as Foxy tells the truth all the way through. The song "The Letter," Foxy wrote for her mother and her brother. "Broken Silence" is really a tribute to her family and adoring fans. Throughout her career Foxy Brown has worked along side the likes of Jay-Z, Method Man. LL Cool J, Mia X and many many more well known artists.
