Why the feud began Puff Daddy's

 Reasons

The feud began in 1995 at the Source Awards, when Suge Knight won an award. Suge Knight got up on stage and said ""If you want to be a artist and don't want to have to worry about your executive producer being in the songs, and in the video's then come to Death Row"". That quote angered Puff Daddy this was to be the start of the feud that would lead to two men being killed.

After The Source Awards Puff Daddy wanted to get even with Suge Knight for embarrassing him, the only way Puff Daddy could do this was by music, that is what Puff Daddy did. Puff Daddy got all his artists together and basically said to them make a number 1 album so that is what they did. Biggie Smalls's Born Again album sold millions and gained more in profits. Lil Kim also released Hardcore, which also gained great profits.

Then in 1996 Suge Knight signed Tupac Shakur probably the greatest artist of all time. When Tupac was signed he started releasing albums all over the place and with Snoop Dogg also on top form Suge Knight's record label Death Row was out selling Bad Boy Records. This gave Puff Daddy greater reason to hate Suge Knight. Especially when Suge Knight was always showing off about it. It was really tense between the two record labels until 1996 when the feud was to end.

On September 13th 1996 Tupac Shakur the biggest selling name in Death Row Records died as a result of a drive by shooting. Six days earlier many artists left Death Row Records and Suge Knight was investigated by the F.B.I and I.R.S for drugs and other crimes Suge Knight was given nine years in prison, which left Puff Daddy's record label Badboy to run the rap chart. However on March 9th 1997 Biggie Smalls was also shot and killed in a drive by shooting leaving Bad Boy Records in a bad way, neither's record labels have ever been the same since.
