Biography of The Outlawz

"The Outlawz" first started in 1992 when Tupac Shakur got his friends to rap on Tupac’s second album "Holla If Ya Hear Me". Before "The Outlawz" broke in to the scene they were always friends from an early age, having grown up together. Tupac was the founder of the group and insisted that "The Outlawz" would make it big in America.

On the next two years "The Outlawz" continued to rap on Tupac’s albums. In 1994 the group was extended with a man called Big Syke, who joined the group. However in 1994 when Tupac was gunned down "The Outlawz" image was to change. Tupac thought it was time to be more aggressive in the world of rap. He gave each member of the group an alias name all the names given to the group were enemies to America. The names went as follows Big Malcolm's alias was E.D.I. after Ugandian president Idi Amin, Big Syke's was Moozaliny after Italian president Benito Mussolini, K-Dog's was Kastro after Cuban president Fidel Castro, Mopreme's was Komani after Iranian Ayatollah Ruholla Khomeini, Mutah's was Napoleon after French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, Washington's was Hussein Fatal which was later changed to Fatal Hussein after Iraq president Saddam Hussein and Young Hollywood's was Kadafi after Lybian colonel Muammar Al-Qadaafi. Tupac named himself Makaveli The Don after Italian philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli. From then on the Makaveli period was to begin. Makaveli being the alias of Tupac.

In 1996 Tupac released "All Eyes On Me", which the rest of "The Outlawz" appeared on "When We Ride", "No More Pain All" "About U," "Tradin' War Stories," "Thug Passion," "Picture Me Rollin'," "Check Out Time," "All Eyez On Me" and "Run Tha Streetz.". "All Eyes on Me" went seven times platinum making Tupac Shakur and "The Outlawz" the most recognized rap artists in America.

June 14th Tupac released a B side single to "All About U" called "Hit Em Up", which was a diss on The Notorious B.I.G, as Tupac was convinced that Notorious B.I.G shot him. "Hit Em Up" featured the rest of "The Outlawz" and was a big selling hit in America that year. After the song was released Kadafi and Fatal had their friend Rufus "Young Noble" Cooper join "The Outlawz". Things were looking up for "The Outlawz" until September 7th 1996.

On the night of September 7th 1996 Tupac, Suge Knight and the rest of "The Outlawz" went to see their friend Mike Tyson challenge for the world title in boxing. Mike Tyson won, and after the fight Tupac and his followers were involved in a fight in the lobby of the stadium. After the fight was over Tupac, Suge Knight and the rest of "The Outlawz" left the scene and drove off. Tupac and Suge Knight were in one car and the rest of "The Outlawz" followed. Then tragedy was to strike Tupac was gunned down again as a result of a drive by shooting. Tupac was now close to death. On Friday September 13th Tupac was pronounced dead at 4.03pm the only witness to the shooting of Tupac was Kadafi, Tupac’s friend and a member of "The Outlawz", however before Kadafi could be questioned by police he himself was shot and killed by a man called Roddy, Napoleon of "The Outlawz" cousin. Napoleon forgave him but Fatal of "The Outlawz" didn’t. Fatal argued even if Roddy didn’t mean to kill Kadafi he shouldn’t have put a gun to Kadafi’s head in the first place. Fatal still upset over Kadafi’s death, left The Outlawz and went solo and joined "Rap A Lot Records" as a solo artist. In 1997 Tupac’s "The Don Luminal" was released, which featured "The Outlawz". In the same year "The Outlawz" joined Tupac’s old label "Death Row Records" even though Tupac told them not to. Tupac was right because Suge Knight was reported to be horrible to the group so in 1999 "The Outlawz" left "Death Row Records" and released Tupac’s album "Still I Rise" on a different label, which featured "The Outlawz". The sale of the album didn’t really take off because Suge Knight ordered Interscope not to promote the album because "The Outlawz" refused to sign with Knight’s publishing label. In 2000 "The Outlawz" put a law suit in against Suge Knight and won, they received $4.5 million. In February of that year "The Outlawz" started up their own record Label entitled "Outlawz Records".

In 2001 Napoleon of "The Outlawz" made his film debut in "Thug Life". In the same year Big Syke alias Moozaliny started up his own record label entitled "RideonUm". Also in 2001 "The Outlawz" felt "Bayside Entertainment Distribution" was too small for them. They left and signed a distribution deal with "KOCH Records" instead. On November 6, their third LP, "Novakane", was released.

In 2003 Fatal will release his second album "Death before Dishonour" and New Child's debut album, "S.O.G. (Son of a Gangster)" are coming out. "Outlaw Recordz" is releasing Napoleon's solo debut album, "Bonapartes", Noble's solo debut album, "Noble Justice", E.D.I. and Kastro's collaboration album, "Blood Brothers", and the fourth group album. "Fortress Entertainment" is releasing their home video, "World Wide", and E.D.I. is writing a screen play. They've got "Outlaw Films" and "O.G. (Outlaw Gear)" coming soon. Let's just hope they can squash their beef with Fatal and come together again , like Tupac said, "Let no man separate what we create!"
