The Samos - Patmos - Leros Holiday

Hello lovers of the Greek islands, here is the update of my website The Greek Islands. If you have received this newsletter by mistake or if you want to unsubscribe please reply to this email and write "unsubscribe" in the subjectmatter.

Hello everybody, I am back :))!.
Pffff...I have been working hard this last week after my return on tuesday afternoon. Most of the Samos page is ready and I have uploaded a lot of new and beautiful pictures on the Samos page, the Patmos page and the Leros page. Samos is where we started of the holiday for the first three days and we spend one day there near the main tourist resort of the island, Pythagorion, and than moved on to a lovely house on a hill in Balos (in the south) that overlooked a bay.

After Samos we went to Patmos, where we arrived two and a half hours too late thanks to the ferry Nissos Kalymnos. When we arrived it was already dark. When I wanted to change from sunglasses to normal glasses I found out that I myself was on the island of Patmos but my glasses were lost and somewhere in Samos (I found them 5 days later again at the car rental in Samos). Next day I had to buy contact lenses in order to see something after dark. Patmos was wonderful. We had a lovely studio in a quiet bay near the Skala (where all the ferries arrive).

Then we went on to the nearby island of Leros for a day and a half, and we tried to see as much as possible (we rented a car everywhere we went). This time the ferry - a fast one - was on schedule. In Leros we really stayed in style. You have to see the pictures to believe it. Than it was back one day to Patmos because there was no direct ferry back to Samos that day. We stayed again at the same studio (Mathia's studios in Sapsila Bay). There was a lovely small beach down from the studiocomplex and we spend the afternoon there reading a book and doing a little swimming. On the way back from Patmos near the island of Agathonissi we were greeted by a large school of dolphins, which was fun. The last six days were for Samos (we had planned to go to Ikaria as well, but since we made it a day too late to Samos there was hardly any time left for it and besides that we were both a bit tired from all the ferries and so we decided to remain on Samos instead). In Samos it suddenly started to rain (for two days - the roof at our Pythagorion hotel started to leak because of this - people told us that the last time it had rained in May was 10 years ago). The last couple of days were spend at a village that I absolutely fell in love with: Limnionas in the south west. The place where we stayed was wonderful and the village, the people and the whole area...well, you can read about it on the website. Thank you everybody for your attention. Sorry it has been such a small newsletter but I have typed so much these last few days, I grew tired, ahah. Anyways, you can check out the pages on the website. I am still working on Patmos and Leros, so they are not finished yet, but a lot of the pictures are already on. Samos still needs a couple of details and a few pictures but the major part is ready.
Kind regards, Hans.
