High waves beat down on the coast here. This is one of the beaches on Santorini which is not organized (no beachchairs and umbrellas). Of all the beaches in this part of Santorini Kouloumbo Beach is the best and the prettiest. An option for the visitors that want to avoid the big crowds and don't care about the extra luxury of sunbeds and umbrellas. Since there is nothing on the beach (except sand and the sea of course) it is very wise to bring at least one big bottle of water and some sunscreen if you don't want to return home feeling dehydrated and looking red as a lobster.
