In the southeast of Andros you will find the Bay of Korthiou and the village of the same name. In the village lies a long sandy beach which is called Mylos Beach. The beach is named after the old windmill that is standing on the beach, almost in the center of it (Mylos is Greek for "mill"). Sometimes the beach is simply referred to as "Ormos Beach". It can be quite windy on this beach and the waves may be high. There are not a lot of facilities besides the local tavernas of the village. The beach is unorganized, meaning no beachbeds or parasols for rent.
