• Katharos Beach is a beach near Oia. You can get there by car but you could also easily walk. To walk there from Oia takes you about fifteen minutes. Actually this is the best beach near Oia. It's a pretty big beach with black coarse sand and pebbles. Katharos is a quiet beach, situated in between rocks and cliffs. The last part down to the beach you have to walk, but it is over a good path. There are no facilities such as parasols and sunbeds on the beach, but just before the descent down the path begins there is a tavern.
