- Kanakari Beach is situated on the east side of Santorini and can be reached by taking a street in Fira towards the camping. After that it is a bit of a zigzag, but if you try and keep heading for the coast you will get there. It is in between the beaches of Vourvoulos and Exo Gialos. Kanakari consists of two beaches on each side of a small fishing harbour. On the south side is a narrow and long pebble beach and on the north side is a better and larger sandy beach which has also some pebbles on it. In the water of the smal harbour there are a lot of swans and a couple of ducks. Just above the harbour stands a very cute church.
