"Why, why do you help us?" Eleana asked her voice shows the pain in her heart.

"I am just trying to help your pack recover." The king said as he continued to tend to Eric's wounds.

"You don't need to do that. Go and enjoy the rest of the time you have here." I said moving to tend to Eric.

"No, you rest. I'll take care of Eric." The king lightly moved me back so I was leaning against the cave wall. "I have finally learned what makes wolves like humans. I am going to pay back for the wrongs I have done." He returns to tending Eric's wounds. I slowly fall back asleep.

The next time I wake, I am awakened by the call of the pack returning from the hunt. I get up and dart out to aid them. I return to the cave about ten minutes later, in my arms is enough meat for all three of us. I sit down and start a small fire; I cook one third of the meat for the king. I hand that to him when it is finished, he takes it and slowly eats the meat. I take three quarters of the remaining meat and chewed it up for Eric. Then each piece went into his mouth. In about an hour's time Eric has finished eating and I sit back against the cave wall to eat the remaining meat.

"Eleana is that all you are going to eat today?" the king asked, his voice concerned.

"No, this will probably be it for the rest of the week." I said once I had finished off my meal.

"You eat that little and tend to all the sick and injured?" The king questioned.

"No, normal I eat half that amount." I answered my voice remaining total calm.

"Well, you as a child of the wild really do see that others are better off then you. Please allow me to tend to Eric back at the castle, I don't wish to see you in pain." The king said as he prepaid to leave.

"Its….fi…. fine…by…. me, Ele…. Eleana may choose." Eric said, his voice still very shaky and uncertain.

"Well, I guess it would be best for him. Take him with you." I said then got up and walked out of the cave. The king had his men pick Eric up, and they returned to the castle.
