Drawbacks

Drawbacks are in no way required, however, I believe them to add depth to a character and thus have given the vast majority of my NPC's and premade characters drawbacks. (Not to mention that flaws are what make us human.)

Physical Drawback -

This could range from being visually or hearing impared; physically impared in someway such as the malforming or lack of an appendage.

It could also mean having odd coloured skin, hair, or eyes such as purple or slate. It could even be something as everyday as a distinguiseable tattoo (it's kind of hard to hide from the Feds if you have yourself tattooed to resemble a cheetah.)

Psychosis -

Alcohol and Drug Abuse/Dependance -
A feeling of need for Drugs and/or Alcohol. When the subject can not get a curtain amount of their dependency they can become depressed, they may withdrawl from social situations and may become agitated.

Anorexia Nervosa -
Anorexics believe themselves to be overweight when they are not. They refuse to eat in order to become better looking, but, never gain their "perfect image".

Anxiety -
Seperation Anxiety Disorder -
Usually found in young children, but, may be present in adults. The subject has a great fear of the unknown (i.e. anyone or anything not of their family or home.) In adulthood this may manifest as attachment to an individual.

General Anxiety Disorder -
The constant irrational worry about everything and anything. GAD can cause restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, and sleep difficulties

Panic Disorder -
Characterized by frequent inexpected surges of fear and aprehention.

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) -
Characterized by problems with paying attention and concentration and/or with hyperactive and impulsive behavior. Subject may be unable to listen well, organize work, and follow directions. They are often fidgety and restless.

Autism -
Autism is marked deficits in communication and social interaction, preoccupation with fantasy, language impairment, and abnormal behavior, such as repetitive acts and excessive attachment to certain objects. It is usually associated with intellectual impairment.

Bipolar Disorder (Manic-Depression)-
A combonation of Manic Disorder and Depression each alternating at different intervals.

Bulimia Nervosa (Bulimia) -
Similar to Anorexia, except instead of a refusal to eat, the subject gorges themself then induces vomiting.

Compulsive -
You are compulsed to do a non-action such as lying, stealing etc.

Conduct Disorder -
Characterized by deliquency and violations of personal rights. The subject often acts "tough".

Depression -
Characterized by loss of interest in activities formerly enjoyed, loss of energy, fatigue, feeling slowed down for no reason, "burned out". Feelings of guilt and self blame for things that are not one's fault. Inability to concentrate and indecisiveness. Feelings of hopelessness and helplessness. Recurring thought of death and suicide, wishing to die, or attempting to kill oneself.

Dissociative Identity Disorder -
Characterized by the presence of distinct personalities within one individual. Usually only the other personalities are aware of the existance of seperate personalities and the "core" personality is unaware entirely.

Mania -
Characteristic of hyperactivity, exaggerated feelings of well being and often delusions of grandeur (feeling you are the Messiah, that you control all the world's money etc.)

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)-
Repeating of an action (such as washing hands) over and over again. The subject becomes anxious if they do not have the ability to fulfill their obsession.

Philia -
An extreme obsession with a person or thing (Such as bones, the Mayor, heights). When ever the subject sees the object they become enamered by it and much approach it and/or touch it.

Phobia -
An irrational fear of a person or thing (Such as cats, bearded men or closed spaces). When ever the subject sees the object they either freeze or run in terror.

Schizophrenia -
Characterized by hallucination and dillusions. The subject's hallucination may be either auditory or visual and may include voices (which often command or make comments about the individual), visions of the grotesque or inexplicable, paranoia and perceved persecution. The dillusions may include yourself such as the thought that you are infact a 17th Century nobleman named Sir William of Finn. If you are dilluted into thinking yourself a king (such as Caesar or Napoleon) or a diety (such as Jesus (more technically Theomania) or Hera) then that is Mania and not Schizophrenia. Schizphrenic do not have Dissociative Identity Disorder as this is a seperate psychosis.

Other Traits -

Bully -
You use violence and intimidation to get your way.

Coward -
You must make a Will save of (16) each time you battle or flee for 1d4 rounds. You can never initiate combat without a team mate nearby.

Decietful -
You lie and cheat to get your way.

Diet Restrictions -
Either through choice (such as Vegganism) or through biology (such as allergy) you may not eat curtain foods.

Envy -
Very related to greed except for you do not want something until you see someone else already has it.

Gluttony -
You must eat whenever you can. Furthermore, you eat thrice the amount of food as normal.

Greed -
You want as much praise, money, power etc. as you can possiably aquire.

In Debt -
The only fluctuating drawback, this is put in the Drawbacks notes (as well as the amount in debt) to remind the character to pay up. A character in debt can not make a loan until he or she is no longer in Debt.

Lust -
The intense and constant craving of physical pleasure.

Narrow-Mindedness -
You do not see anything beyond your own view as being remotely valid.

Pride -
This is not moderate pride in oneself or organization, but, excessive pride. Excessive pride usually involves dillusions of grandeur and sometimes Narcassism.

Stigma -
You have a social stigma because of who you are.

There are four stigmas:

1. Minority
(whites in Japan, Germans in France, Jews in modern Canada) (Most if not full rights but still considered "one of them".) -2 attitude roll from those not like you; +2 attitude roll from those like you
The other classification would be any social stigmatic not under the racial, ethnic or religous category such as a homosexual or in some places the physically disabled.
2. 2nd class citizen (women in 19th cen., slaves most anywhere except United States) (Few rights) -4 attitude roll from those not like you; +4 attitude roll from those like you.
3. Underclass (Untouchable in India, black in 1950's American South, slaves in the United States/ under Yordan) (No rights) -6 attitude roll from those not like you; +6 attitude roll from those like you.
4. Political-
You are a member of a Political faction (i.e. Democrat- Republican in America; Communist-Fascist in the 40's) who hate eachother with a passion. depending on your chosen degree of political leanings you may have a reaction bonus/penalty on 2,4 or 6 or higher (i.e. in my family, my Democrat father and Republican cousins have nearly gotten into fist fights.)

Note: The higher stigmas override the lower once, for instance, a black woman in the 1950's South is a racial minority, a 2nd class citizen and part of the Underclass, but, because the Underclass is worse off, she is considered Underclass.

Mutants are considered to be at least Minority

Sloth -
You must make a will save of 14 to do anything more than lounging around.

Wrath -
Rage and and indescriminate distruction are the calling cards of Wrath.
