(I should like to stress, though, that this is not intended to be a "shrine" to Suzanne Whang. As much as I like her, I do not actually worship her, and I don't think she'd be particularly comfortable with that degree of adulation. Like any other human being, though, she probably does like to be appreciated. Suzanne, if you're reading this, you may take this as a tribute of thanks for the information and entertainment that you've provided in your show-business career, however short it may be, at least thus far.)
I would also like to point out that, at some time in the future, there will be links to most of the sources of these graphics (essentially, all the ones that still exist).
To begin with, I'm happy to announce that Suzanne will be back on television this fall, in a new show called House Hunters on HGTV (Home and Garden Television). Unfortunately, I don't get that channel, but I'll still be posting any promotional pictures of Suzanne that I can find (unless, of course, HGTV objects).
The first imiage is this picture (at right, with Suzanne in a lovely copper-colored suit that brings out her skin tone very nicely) was used by the Lifetime channel to promote her program on that channel, New Attitudes. (Suzanne has since been replaced by Kim Coles.)
The NBC website has featured another great pic of Suzanne, this one promoting the other show on which she appeared in 1998, TV Censored Bloopers 98, which has since been cancelled. Suzanne was the show's co-host, with host Dick Clark (also pictured in the shot). Unfortunately, these graphics (a thumbnail as well as a full-size photo) seem to be in some odd variation of the JPG format, and I couldn't seem to get it posted here (which is a bit sad, since it was such a fun pic).
During her stint as a remote reporter (or "Road Warrior") on her previous show, Breakfast Time (which aired on fX cable back when the "f" was lower-case), she visited The Ultimate Taxi in Aspen, Colorado. If you aren't familiar with that vehicle, the photo at right -- which the driver took of himself, Suzanne, and the (unidentified) fX cameraman for his website. (This taxi is apparently a favorite of several celebrities when they visit Aspen; the site is full of celebrity photos.)
At some time after the amazingly successful Breakfast Time became the ill-fated Fox After Breakfast (a one-hour morning show on the Fox broadcast network, where constant front-office retooling of the highly successful formula of Breakfast Time eventually killed it), Fox put up some promotional graphics for the star's various shows. While I've long since lost the graphics that fX used for Breakfast Time, one of the graphics used for Fox After Breakfast (which just happens to illustrate the whimsical side of Suzanne's personality perfectly -- gotta love that little pink derby!) is shown here, at left.
Based on the above graphic, I've devised three banners that you may use if you should wish to use one to advertise the Whang Number Index. What's the "Whang Number Index," you ask? (Go ahead and ask; I'll wait.) It's a little game where anyone who has ever done a movie anywhere in the world can be linked to Suzanne through the movies they've made (most of them with other actors, since Suzanne's only movie credit is Housesitter with Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn). Anyway, if you want to link to the WNI with a banner, you may use any combination of the three shown below. And for your convenience, each of them already links there!
