My Granny, my friend

For my Granny
who passed away on Dec 30th, 2006


When I was a child you were there,
To cuddly me closely and to care.
You taught me how a person should be,
Your lessons made up the best of me.
If ever a time I needed an ear,
To rant, or rave or shed a tear.
You were there to hold my hand,
You would listen and understand.
Through the years I always knew,
I could forever depend on you.
Granny, you always shined so bright;
Glowing softly with heavens light.
You touched my life in many ways,
I’ll hold you close for all my days.
You watch me now from up above,
Shining down your heavenly love.
I miss you so with all my heart,
And even though we had to part.
Our parting won’t last for forever,
For we shall spend eternity together.
