Emptiness

Tears roll down my face,
sitting in this empty place.
Sadness overwhelms my mind,
leaving sanity behind.

My spirit dies slowly inside,
happiness has no place to hide.
Raging pain rips through my heart,
and tears my soul apart.

Sanity slowly slips away,
until here alone I stay.
With the sadness and pain,
until only emptiness will remain.
