Arad is a nice quiet town, if you are not identified as a Christian/Messianic, Messianic Jew, Missionary, Evangelist, or a friend of, or associate of, any of the above. Bottom-line: If you are found to have anything to do with Jesus/Y’shua or those who believe in Him, you will undergo relentless persecution and hate crimes of Biblical (book of Acts) proportions from those (in our case the Hassidi Gur/Pharisees & the Yad L’Achim) who hate Jesus/Y’shua and His Name.

Thus, many Believers have gone underground, they have assimilated, they have joined what the wife and I call “The Bushel Basket Secret Society”.

To join this secret society: 1. Do not wear or display a cross, a Star of David w/ a cross imbedded, the Messianic seal, nor the Fish (Holy Mackerel) symbol in any way, shape or form.
2. Do not be seen carrying or reading the New Testament.
3. Do not be too nice, courteous, or polite.
4. Do not smile too much or appear too happy.
5. Do not be seen near or about the Messianic Congregation or The King’s Men Storefront.
6. Caution! Do not be caught dead wearing a “JESUS LOVES YOU” t-shirt. By all means avoid having anything to do with that man’s name!
7. For your own sake and safety refrain from wearing any t-shirt having scripture from the Old or New Testament, positive messages, etc. (Remember what happened to the 50).
8. Do not witness, spread the Gospel, or share your faith!

1. As a member of The Bushel Basket Secret Society you can live in The Land and avoid persecution. Just think; you can live like a tourist, like being on vacation!
2. As a member of The Bushel Basket Secret Society you can start your own productive humanitarian-type ministry without being harassed if you put it in writing that you will not proselytize (a derogatory word for witnessing)! Just think, living in the Holy Land, operating your own business (I mean your own ministry), which will generate income, thus meeting your comforts, needs, and those of others!

We openly show the Love of Jesus. We Spread the Gospel foremost, humanitarian aide secondary, and as a result, we are persecuted and suffer much affliction! But, we continue to stand and stand some more.
