Stormy is one of the NHL's most lovable mascots. He came onto the Carolina Hurricanes' scene on October 10, 1997 and was an immediate hit with the fans.

You never know when Stormy will pop up. He visits many locations in NC throughout the year. Sometimes you can find him at schools, hospitals, parades, charity events, birthday parties and even weddings. So, whenever you see Stormy make sure you ask for a hug or a high five, as he'll be more than happy to oblige.

The wart hog was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and before he became the official mascot of the Hurricanes, he attended Hurricanes U, where he graduated with honors. When he isn't entertaining the crowds at the Entertainment and Sports Arena, he likes to play pickup hockey and hit the dance floor, where he's always requesting his two favorite tunes, Rock You Like A Hurricane and This Little Piggy.

Stormy also likes to take in a flick every once in a while, as he goes to see every movie that has his two favorite celebrities, Miss Piggy and Porky Pig, in it. But neither of the two were in his two all-time favorite movies, Babe and Charlotte's Web. Go figure! He is also a huge fan of the skit "Pigs in Space" that used to run on the hit TV program, "The Muppet Show."

Although he likes to eat everything in sight, he particularly likes to eat his food grilled or roasted; namely duck, penguin and shark. His favorite dessert is chocolate covered Bluejackets imported from Columbus.
