Listen
closely and I shall tell you a story of a sweet snes game....
The Legend of the Mystical Ninja! In this
game you control Kid Ying or Dr. Yang and follow them on their mystical
quest. You go from island to island fighting ninjas, ghosts, and all mannor
of thugs. Really cool game.
Graphics: (7/10) The graphics are very nicely
done. Everything is eye-pleasing and follows a perticular style. There
are even cut-scenes and such that look awesome.
Sound: (6/10) The music is well done. It's
snes oriental, very cool. Everything that seems like it should make a
sound does. The music plays a pretty strong roll in the more intense momments,
like when you're fighting a boss or something. Good!
Fun: (7/10) This game has a cool storyline
and strong game structure. You beat up people in the streets and take
their coins and other valuables (hint: River City Ransom). Then you can
buy things to enhance your character (pizza, sushi, bombs, sandals...).
You can also upgrade your wepaons to three different levels. The enemies
are fun to fight and the bosses are all pretty damn cool.
Creativity: (8/10) It is an action/adventure
side-scroller but it has a lot of style. There's a lot of humor incorporated
in the game and all the locations are very original (oriental circus,
old villages, ancient fortresses). You can also play arcade games and
game-shows at certain buildings (the game-show host asks you questions
about details revealed earlier in the game). Awesome.
Multi-Player:
Can you say "W00T!" The multi-player is a lot of fun and makes
up a large portion of the fun-factor of this game. Play with a friend
and the game will allow you to work together in some interesting ways.
